Don’t miss your chance to enter the U20 British Amateur Championships, taking place at Prested 31 October through 1 November.

This year there will be two separate events running alongside each other: the Level Event on the glass court and also a Handicap Event on the far court. The most likely format will include round-robin short format matches on Saturday followed by knockout stages on Sunday.

For the second year in a row, Real Tennis clubs across the country will be offering free lessons, exhibition matches, on-court workshops, social events and more as part of the T&RA’s second National Open event aimed at introducing new players to the game.

These exciting FREE events will be taking place 1-4 October at nearly ALL of the UK’s Real Tennis clubs, so bring a friend, colleague, neighbour or family member and join in on the fun!

The final of T&RA’s season opener Rackets event, the Noel Bruce competition, took place last night at The Queen’s Club with lots of rocket-speed on-court action. Congratulations to Eton, who beat Malvern 16/17 7/15 15/9 15/8 15/12 17/14.

🔥 REAL TENNIS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT 🔥

On August 9, Jesmond Dene Real Tennis Club member Chris Pearson will attempt to break the world record for the most Real Tennis serves completed in one hour, while raising money for Smile for Life and the Jesmond Dene Real Tennis Club Heritage Fund. The current record stands at 1,385 serves — so he will need to serve at an average of over 23 serves every minute for a full hour to beat it! 💪

Congratulations to Rob Shenkman & Bertie Vallat, who won the Amateur Doubles Championship in a titanic three-hour battle that ended 5/6 6/1 4/6 6/3 6/3. This is the first time the pair has won this event, and it’s all the more impressive considering they beat five-time previous champions Ed Kay and Jamie Giddins for the famous Bailey Cup. 🔥👏🏆

T&RA board member and Cambridge University Real Tennis Club President Dr. Victoria Harvey presented the prizes and thanked Ben Ronaldson and The Queen's Club London for organising and hosting the event, as well as the 22 participants who played their part in a thrilling weekend.
