Most gyms aren’t built for you.

Not when you’re new. Not when you’re scared. Not when the last gym you tried made you feel out of place before you’d even put your trainers on.

Most gyms are built for the version of you who’s already confident, already strong, already loves training. The one who walks in knowing what they’re doing.

If that’s not you, you’re left to figure it out on your own.

We built Misfit the other way round.

Some of these faces had never trained before. Some had been to other gyms and never felt right in them. A few told us, on day one, that they didn’t really like gyms at all.

Then they kept coming.

And something quiet started to happen.

This is the part we love most about what we do.

Watching someone change. Not their body, though that often happens too. Their relationship with training.

The thing they used to dread, slowly, becomes the thing they look forward to. The thing they had to make themselves do, slowly, becomes the thing they want to do. The hour they used to put off, slowly, becomes the hour they keep clear.

That’s the transformation we care about.

Not before-and-afters. Not summer-ready. Not six weeks to a new you.

Just someone who used to feel out of place in a gym, learning that this one’s theirs.

Their identity shifts. They become someone who trains. Not because they should. Because they want to.

It’s a quieter kind of change, and it’s the best part of our job.

Nearly all of our members are still here a year later. 98.5%, to be exact.

That’s not a sales pitch. It’s the receipt for what we just described.

We are so proud of every face in this reel. And of every member the camera didn’t catch this time.

If you’ve spent years feeling like a stranger in every gym or put from training you’ve tried, you might find a home here.

Come and see.

Comment MISFIT and we’ll let you know how you can get started.

Why is strength training so important for longevity? We’ve put together a few of the many reasons.

We’re regularly being sold a short cut, a quick fix or a cheat code for living longer and better, but the reality is there is no substitute for a good progressive strength based programme for developing and maintaining muscle and bone health.

At Misfit our Misfit Strength group PT sessions focus on exactly that; a well written and expertly delivered progressive strength programme suitable for all levels to help build resilient, capable bodies for the future. 🏋🏼‍♀️🏋🏽‍♂️

If you’ve ever walked into a gym and felt like everyone else belonged there except you — read this.

This is what one of our members Gemma said about us.

Not a paid testimonial. Not a script. Just a member describing what Misfit actually feels like.

“You can be who you are and it doesn’t matter.”
“They’ll make you feel welcome.”

Sound familiar?

You’ve walked past a gym. Looked in. Decided it wasn’t for you.

Maybe it looked too intense. Too dark. Too full of people who already knew what they were doing.

This is a review from one of our members Juliet. She’s 65. She thought the same thing. She took a chance, came in, and now she loves it.

We built Misfit for people who don’t like gyms. If you’ve ever felt the same way she did, Comment KICKSTARTER and we’ll send you everything you need to know why we’re different.

This is Wednesday on our Floor.

No one is shouting.
No one is being shamed into a ‘summer body’.
No one is on a leaderboard.

What you’re looking at is a group of people who chose a different kind of gym.

Some are lifting heavy.
Some are learning to lift for the first time.
Some are here for a chat and a sweat before work.

All of them belong.

We built Misfit so people who never felt right in a gym could find one that fits. Four years on, that’s still the brief.

If you’ve been told you’re not a “Gym Person”, you might be a misfit.

Comment MISFIT and we’ll send you what a first week here actually looks like.
