Today was Pony Club 🙌🦄

Today our riders learnt how to plait and turn themselves out ready for the Howden Centre Equitation competition, these two Pony Club badges will be worked towards and awarded as part of the competition ☺️

They then had an hours ridden session learning their canter transitions on a circle

Our Saturday Loan Club started to practice their jumping, ready for the competition 🐎

🌟VOLUNTEERS 🌟

We are looking for volunteers to help out in the riding school

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

This is a great way to learn about grooming, tacking up, leading ponies and getting experience being around ponies and horses.

In return we will offer you a £5 ecpro voucher to spend on lessons of you already ride with us

If not, please still come along and gain some experience and help out, it’s always much appreciated ☺️

So today one of our wonderful coaches Freya, gave 3 of our riders the chance to accompany her to a BE90 event at Solihull Riding Club 🐎

The girls had the chance to learn about a one day event, walk the X country course with Freya and then watch her compete

Freya and her horse ‘Legs’ won their section today! 🙌🏆🥇Congratulations!

Well done Freya and Legs, fantastic achievement and a real treat for our riders

🌟JULY LESSONS 🌟

Bookings now live on EC pro

Please note we are CLOSED 28th June through till 6th July for our horses annual holiday before the busy summer holidays ☀️

Therefore lessons are limited July!

There is one Saturday group lesson on the 11th JULY and one Pony Club session on 18th JULY due to closure and the Working Equitation clinic on the 25th JULY

Our lovely coach Freya is competing at the BE90 at Solihull Riding Club tomorrow and has offered to take 3 riders from our centre with her, you will get the opportunity to walk the X country course with her and learn about a one day event

Inbetween you can watch the competition and watch Freya compete her horse 🐎

We have 1 space left if anyone would like it. Freya will pick up from Curborough around 12.45pm and drop them back at 8pm

Must be 12 years or over, Freya’s mum will be with them whilst competing.

Today was beach 🏖️ day!

This morning we were up nice and early to get to Holkham Beach. Fantastic place with 2 mounting blocks off the car park and a track especially for horses down to the beach 🏝️

Isla and Blade enjoyed themselves immensely, I hacked across the beach and Molly and Blade enjoyed some faster work. It was just stunning and worth the early start ⏰🐎

Wonderful hack out this morning with our host Lucy and her beautiful mare Lottie 😍

Thetford Forest just has the most fabulous out riding, we ride down the drive where we are staying, cross the lane and we are in the forest, miles of sandy and grassy tracks, the ponies were quite jolly to be out today and the weather was just perfect this morning 🌤️

Isla seems to be enjoying her life as a hacking pony and for now, I will take that ☺️

The riding centre is back open for lessons today, Freya will see you all later
