We’re excited to announce that our **Home Education Mechanics Club** sessions will restart on **Wednesday 9th September at 11am** and will then run **fortnightly**! 🎉

Designed for young people who love motorsport, karting and getting hands-on, our mechanics sessions are a great way to learn practical skills and discover more about how a kart works. 🛠️🏁

💷 **PRICING OPTIONS:**

🔧 **Mechanics Club – £30 per session**

📚 **4-week syllabus – £110**
A structured programme covering a range of mechanical skills over four sessions.

🔩 **Private 1-hour Mechanics Session – £60**
Perfect for those who prefer one-to-one tuition or want to focus on specific areas.

We also offer the home ed mechanics club-race school combo @£55 per driver giving you the chance to work on the kart then enjoy some learning in the race school afterwards.

🏁🌧️ **WET WEATHER KARTING PRO TIPS!** 🌧️🏁

Wet weather doesn’t mean slower fun — it means you need to change your driving style! 💦🏎️

If you’re heading out on track in the rain, try these tips:

🔄 **DON’T FOLLOW THE NORMAL RACING LINE**
The usual dry racing line can become extremely slippery when wet because of the rubber laid down by thousands of tyres. Try taking a wider line and look for rougher, grippier tarmac away from the normal line.

💪 **USE YOUR BODY WEIGHT**
In wet conditions, getting your kart to grip can be all about weight transfer. When turning left, try leaning your upper body towards the right-hand side of the kart — and vice versa for a right-hand corner.

🛑 **BRAKE STRAIGHT**
Try to do most of your braking while the kart is straight. Once you’re turning, be smooth with your inputs. And when getting back on the throttle, imagine there’s an 🥚 under your accelerator — squeeze it rather than stamping on it!

🎯 **HUNT FOR THE GRIP**
Wet tracks can change dramatically from lap to lap. Look for areas with more grip, avoid standing water and don’t assume the fastest line from one lap will still be the fastest on the next.

🔥 **AND MOST IMPORTANTLY… BE SMOOTH!**
Smooth steering, smooth braking and smooth throttle will help keep the kart underneath you when conditions get tricky.

⚠️ A quick reminder 🌧️

We're in the UK. It rains. It snows. And sometimes (well, quite a lot this year) we get sunshine, too...

Motorsport can be fun in all weather conditions. Occasionally we have to close the track for the safety of all - but this isn't always the case.

If you're booked on for a session and it's raining, don't worry - there's a good chance we'll still be able to get you on track!

We can provide wet-weather race suits, but we also recommend bringing a change of clothes or a jacket for in-between sessions and post-race... And don't forget we have our on-site café for warming refreshments!
