Great Britain will take another step forward in developing its international programme in 2027, with a confirmed series of fixtures in Ireland offering players regular exposure to high-level competition.

Taking place across 5–6 June at University College Dublin, the matches will see GB face Ireland and the visiting Australian Tagaroos, with the potential for additional nations to join the competition subject to final confirmation.

The fixtures form part of a broader push to create more consistent and meaningful international opportunities for Great Britain athletes, supporting progression across the pathway and strengthening preparation for future major events.

Great Britain Tag is taking a significant step forward in its high-performance approach with the appointment of Richard Dean as Head of Psyche, supported by experienced coach developer Colin Wilson.

In a message to athletes and coaches, Dean set the tone clearly. This is about more than just performance. It is about building an environment where people thrive first, and results follow.

Following the recent announcement of our S&C team, we’ve taken another step forward in how we support players across the programme.

We’ve now rolled out TeamBuildr, a central platform that allows us to plan, deliver and monitor training in a more structured and consistent way.

With access across a large athlete base and a full suite of performance tools, the platform gives our coaches greater visibility while supporting players with more personalised, accessible training.

The introduction of the platform reinforces our commitment to supporting athlete development through a balance of expert coaching and smart use of technology.
