⭐️ Celebrating Student Success ⭐️

Congratulations to Intermediate Ballet and Senior Tap & Jazz pupil Iona, who secured a place on the Young Artist Development Programme with Starting Pointe Ballet for an AMAZING 5th consecutive year 🤩 She was back in their studio for her first monthly session this weekend, displaying the excellent work ethic and dedication that she brings to all her classes ❤️

Iona has had some wonderful experiences with Starting Pointe over the years, including multiple performances at "Go Dance" at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow (which is where this beautiful photo was taken). We're sure 2026/27 will be another excellent year!

⭐️ Sunday 15th November - Save the Date ⭐️

North Star Dance Studio Largs will be participating in the TAPATHON once again, raising money for Children in Need AND trying to help break the record for "the largest number of people performing the same tap routine at multiple venues, simultaneously" 🤞

All tap pupils from Grade 1 to Adult are invited to join in, performing at 1pm on Sunday 15th November (hopefully outside Room, weather dependant). Emails with full details will go out this week and Miss Allyson will be teaching the routine in class over the next few weeks 🎵

SUPPORTERS are most welcome to come along and watch ❤️

⭐️ Celebrating Student Success ⭐️

Well done to these four pupils who were attending their first monthly S-MB session in Glasgow today.

For Grace it's her 3rd year with S-MB, and Emily is back for a 2nd year of training 🩰.

A special mention to Evie and Ivy who were both attending for the first time - well done girls for tackling any first session nerves! 🥰

We are so proud of you and wish you all a fabulous year ahead.

⭐️ Celebrating Student Success ⭐️

A massive CONGRATULATIONS to Abigail who competed at her first Cowal Gathering last weekend!

Cowal is considered the most prestigious of all the events in the Highland Dance calendar, and it was certainly well attended again this year.

Competing in both the Scottish Championships and National Championships, Abigail successfully performed her 4 dances each day, against approximately 50 other competitors, some travelling from as far afield as Nova Scotia, Florida and New South Wales!!

Abigail held her own and kept her nerve whilst being watched by a huge live audience in attendance as well as those streaming the event online.

We are very proud of your achievements Abigail ❤️

You were a bunch of SUPERSTARS waving your flags and handing out leaflets.

Getting out there to promote our dance family is always a joy! (And we even got some sunshine this time!!!)

⭐️ Wishing Carmen and her team at Pipas Dancewear a fabulous opening day tomorrow!!

It's going to be so good having a dancewear shop in Largs ❤️ Please pop in and shop local whenever you can!!

Carmen is a trained pointe shoe fitter, and was kind enough to fit Grace's shoes at the house last week. If your child needs any new shoes or clothes for class then why not head along and take a look 🩰

(RAD exam leotards still need to be bought from our online shop as these are specific to our dance school)

Congratulations to Highland pupil Abigail who achieved a fabulous 6th place for her Swords at the Bute Open Championship today. This is Abigail's first Championship competition, and is great preparation for next week when Abigail will be competing for the first time at the Cowal Highland Gathering.

Well done Abigail ❤️ and good luck next weekend at Cowal 🤞🥰
