This month's Football Memories session was a special one as regular attendee David McPhee took us on a fascinating journey through the decades of left-footed footballers.

Drawing on a lifetime of watching the game from his own proudly left-footed perspective, David shared stories and memories of some of the best left-footed players to pull on a Killie shirt, alongside iconic names from Scottish football and the world game. There was plenty of discussion, debate and laughter around the room.

The session was particularly meaningful for us. David has been part of almost every Football Memories gathering over the years, bringing along his late brother-in-law, Neil Laird. Neil loved coming along to Football Memories with David, and David spoke warmly about the importance these sessions continue to hold for him and the memories they help keep alive.

A huge thank you to David for sharing his knowledge, stories and passion with the group. It's contributions like these that make Football Memories such a welcoming and special place each month.

If you'd like to get involved in Football Memories, or know someone who would enjoy coming along, we'd love to hear from you.

A Special Reunion at East Ayrshire Care Homes Games❤️

Ciara loved her third reunion with Mary, continuing a heartwarming friendship that began in 2023 when Mary was 99 years young.

The pair have met every year at the East Ayrshire Care Home Games since they first connected. Following Mary's recent 102nd birthday celebrations, the two were reunited once again for a truly special visit.

"It was amazing to see Mary again. It was lovely that Mary remembered the last time we saw each other, I was pregnant. It was such a wholesome moment being able to share pictures of my baby girl and tell Mary all about her, a moment I won't ever forget."

Their friendship is a wonderful reminder of the meaningful connections that can be made across generations in our community, and how those bonds continue to grow over the years.

Every penny raised goes towards supporting our Tiny Toes and Tots groups, helping us continue providing valuable sessions for local families and little ones.

A special thank you to Craig and Daryl for supporting Conker every step of the way and making sure he got over the finish line. He truly wouldn’t have made it through without them, the teamwork was incredible to see. 💙
