This month's Football Memories session was a special one as regular attendee David McPhee took us on a fascinating journey through the decades of left-footed footballers.
Drawing on a lifetime of watching the game from his own proudly left-footed perspective, David shared stories and memories of some of the best left-footed players to pull on a Killie shirt, alongside iconic names from Scottish football and the world game. There was plenty of discussion, debate and laughter around the room.
The session was particularly meaningful for us. David has been part of almost every Football Memories gathering over the years, bringing along his late brother-in-law, Neil Laird. Neil loved coming along to Football Memories with David, and David spoke warmly about the importance these sessions continue to hold for him and the memories they help keep alive.
A huge thank you to David for sharing his knowledge, stories and passion with the group. It's contributions like these that make Football Memories such a welcoming and special place each month.
If you'd like to get involved in Football Memories, or know someone who would enjoy coming along, we'd love to hear from you.
