This Saturday 20th June, our very own Raymond Cunningham, alongside his sons Andrew and Josh, will be taking on the Hard as Oak 10km Obstacle Challenge, over 50 obstacles and one of Ireland’s toughest endurance events, to raise money for Heart Failure Warriors NI ❤️
The charity holds a special place in the Cunningham family’s home. Over the last two years, they have experienced first-hand the challenges of heart failure while supporting Raymond’s wife and the boys’ mum, Sandra, through her journey to a life-saving heart transplant. Thankfully, after receiving her transplant in May 2025, she is recovering well.
Throughout that difficult time, Heart Failure Warriors NI provided invaluable support, and guidance to the family. Their work continues to help individuals and families across Northern Ireland navigate through life with heart conditions, ensuring nobody has to face the journey alone.
This challenge carries even greater meaning as Andrew himself lives with the same genetic heart condition that affected his mum. Despite this, he is preparing to take on 10 kilometres, 50 obstacles and one of Ireland’s toughest endurance events with incredible determination and positivity to raise vital funds for this amazing charity. Raymond, Andrew and Josh are giving something back to a charity that stood beside them when they needed it most.
If you’d like to support the lads as they take on mud, obstacles and whatever else Hard as Oak throws at them, any donation would be hugely appreciated.
Good luck lads — everyone at Life Builders is behind you 💪❤️
If online donations aren’t your thing, any members wishing to support the lads can drop a donation into the gym safe. Just pop it in an envelope marked ‘Hard as Oak’ and we’ll make sure it reaches the fundraiser. Thank you for your support ❤️
