To witness communities connecting through sport ⚽️ is a real privilege
To see the rollercoaster of emotions riddled in the curved brows and wide open eyes 😳- just wow 😯

The world of socials where we share success like a reflection. But where are the embers 🔥 of true success?

When I connect the dots it’s really simple.
Don’t be afraid to fail and definitely don’t be afraid of falling short. For in our hours of darkness, grief, confusion and frustration we find the elixir ✨ that truly matters.

How can we become a better version of who we are?

How can we truly help and inspire others to be comfortable in the most distressing times?

For true growth is 💯 uncomfortable and we have to find truths that put our values on trial.

I recall my simple words on development in all its guises (football or the International world of finance),

“What got you here won’t get you there”!

A simple riddle of true development. The need to redefine and at times reevaluate every sinew of who you are. The harshest reflections are the true friends of development for what provokes truly evokes a fundamental movement to change. And with change we invite new horizons and new experiences into our next chapters.

I have 💯 been so grateful 🙏🏽 for all the highs and lows of this season.

From broken promises to lifting trophies and everything in between.

To follow a fundamental movement with the help of my son Kieran, my wife Kim and Kieran’s bestie Tom is such a gift. But the myriad of amazing people I can truly call a is what I mean when I talk about building communities beyond boundaries. Every special star 🌟 that makes us the constellation I call Orion (aka the warrior) is what makes me truly proud. Coaches, exceptional acts of selfless service by children, families and friends of Fundas.

The opportunity for everyone to stand on a field of play wearing the same kit and vested in the values of integrity, trust and most of all kindness.

And just to be clear the hardest kindness is to speak our quiet truths as they can crush the petals like a thunderstorm ⛈️ if we are too loud. Hearts 💕 can hurt as we cut loose and have to regrow without others. But we can also feel the truth of what a remarkable blessing there is in connecting in a truly vulnerable way.

I fear not losing or sharing these deep thoughts for true growth is inspired in the vulnerability of being open. Open minds. Open souls. And most of all open ears. As we step through vulnerable doors we open up the possibility for others to be free and to speak in a way they are heard. As they are heard they realise the power of not being alone in their moments. For most of us carry some form of insecurity that lays bear the scars of the past. But those scars bear witness to the beauty of the ultimate win.

Today I simply watched young players truly dance on the field of football. I took the pleasure to observe parents in awe of seeing the possibilities of their children’s growth bouncing on the rays of sunshine like the clamour of birds singing in the new dawn today.

A lifetime of living and loving football and I won’t stop 🛑 in my pursuit of helping others on and off the field of play. For in our play we find the freedom to fall, fail and most of all rise on the wings of an eagle 🦅.

Soar high into the bliss of the air swishing through your ears like water crashing onto the shore as we glide through the emotion of
the flow of true joy

I am so very happy and content for the journey so far. Inspiring coaches and so many more in our army of fundamental friends.

I close my eyes 👀 listening to some calm music from Grace of Africa. The keys on the piano splattered with the velvet voice gracing my ears of our Heavenly Father.

This new chapter is so so much more
exciting and simultaneously scary too. But be not afraid of what steps you take into new mazes. For what comes next will be truly amazing 🤩

For YOU - be not afraid 😧 in your dark times as dawn brings light 💡 after night.

For YOU - be Fearless 🔥as your bravery will be rewarded in its multitudes if we have been blessed 😇 to have fallen short before true triumph blazes in our being.

For YOU - you are not alone. In our struggles we will know our true friends and most of all be KIND to you.

Today I walked into Vision Express in Kettering and asked for assistance.

In the next moment I heard a voice say, “Hi Ty”!

Magda back from Poland after several years but those wonderful fundamental feelings never left us.

It reminds and reinforms me of the power of reflection and connection. For sports like football are so much more that that.

Built the community of friends and more. That is Fundamental ♥️🤍💙💯🔥

We can focus on winning 🏆 but what does that really mean when you develop?

For me playing through higher level football meant one thing and one thing only,

The skills and capabilities that got you success there were not enough at each inflexion in my development curve.

So as things get harder it’s natural to take time to figure out the problems ahead of you. For in solving them you gain resilience and resourcefulness in abundance

You want to train resilience - ask your players what resilience looks like for them...as individuals and as team mates!

“What does a moment of resilience look like for you? Feel like for you? What will others see and experience when you’re engaged in a moment of resilience?”

Then ask them when they might need to do to show this resilience. Ask them to come up with an activity that tests their resilience. Ask them to set up this activity. Ask them to engage in this activity using what they think they need to demonstrate a moment of resilience. Ask them at the end how resilient they thought they were…

…and then ask them what they need from you to have many more moments of resilience. And ask them what they might need from their team mates to manage and maintain this sense of resilience…

You want to train confidence - ask your players what confidence looks like for them...as individuals and as team mates!

“What does a moment of confidence look like for you? Feel like for you? What will others see and experience when you’re engaged in a moment of confidence?”

Then ask them when they might need to do to show this confidence. Ask them to come up with an activity that tests their confidence. Ask them to set up this activity. Ask them to engage in this activity using what they think they need to demonstrate a moment of confidence. Ask them at the end how confident they thought they were…

…and then ask them what they need from you to have many more moments of confidence. And ask them what they might need from their team mates to manage and maintain this sense of confidence…

You want to train focus - ask your players what focus looks like for them...as individuals and as team mates!

“What does a moment of focus look like for you? Feel like for you? What will others see and
experience when you’re engaged in a moment of focus?”

Then ask them when they might need to do to show this focus. Ask them to come up with an activity that tests their focus. Ask them to set up this activity. Ask them to engage in this activity using what they think they need to demonstrate a moment of focus. Ask them at the end how focused they thought they were…
