Today (06/09) Histon FC Women host Wroxham Women in the Eastern Region Women's Football League Premier Division. 🔴⚫

Not the Bank Holiday weekend we wanted, but one this club can be proud of. 🔴⚫

On Saturday 29/08, the Camtech and Caprice Stadium played host to a UCL Cup preliminary round tie that had absolutely everything. Blackstones came to Histon, and we went toe to toe for 90 minutes, the scores locked at 3-3 ⚽🔥. It went all the way to penalties, and after a marathon shootout we were beaten 8-9. Cup football in a nutshell — brutal, dramatic, and over in the blink of an eye. Heartbreak for the boys and everyone who made the noise behind them. 💔

There was no time to sit with it. Just two days later, on Monday 31/08, the squad were back out on the road for a United Counties Football League fixture at Yaxley, going down 3-1 in a tough afternoon away from home. 🚌

Thank you to everyone who travelled, everyone who filled the Camtech and Caprice Stadium on Saturday, and everyone cheering us on from home. Onwards. 🏟️👏

Cup football is back at the Camtech and Caprice Stadium 🏆🔴⚫

Tomorrow afternoon we welcome Blackstones Football Club for our Preliminary Round tie in the UCL Cup — kick-off 15:00, Saturday 29/08.

There's a different buzz around cup ties. No league table to worry about, just 90 minutes of knockout football and the chance to keep a run going. It's exactly the kind of afternoon that reminds you why non-league football is so special — a proper community turning up to roar the boys on.

FULL TIME: Histon FC Women 1-1 Royston Town Women 🔴⚫

Our first-ever home fixture in the Eastern Region Womens Football League Premier Division is in the books, and the girls can be proud of the point they take from it. Royston finished last season as one of the best sides in this division, and our Ladies matched them for every minute at the Camtech and Caprice Stadium this afternoon.

⚽️ The goal on the day came from Evie Nicholls, getting Histon Women up and running at this level in front of a home crowd that made itself heard from first whistle to last. Thank you to every single one of you who came down and got behind the team — this club runs on that support, and the players felt it today. 🙌

It's early days in this new chapter, but performances and points like this are exactly why we believe this squad belongs among the best in the region. Next up, we welcome St Albans City to the Camtech and Caprice Stadium on 30/08 (14:00) — same time, same place, same noise, please! 📣

Well played to Royston Town Women too — a tough, honest contest and a fair result on the balance of play.
