The end of a long week and our Juniors had a 36 hole competition.
This is from Junior Organiser Chris Hutton:

Junior champs 2026-
What a great day. 36 holes of golf played over a long day.
Our winners were;
NTP - Jacob,Charlie,Will,Logan
This year we held a new stableford championship for the higher handicaps.
The championship was named after the past organisers Alan and Brian, and there were on hand to award the trophy.
Our morning stableford winner was -Ollie
Our afternoon stableford winner was - Holly
Our overall winner with scores of 40 points and 44 points was Eddie.

On the junior champs our morning gross winner was - Noah
Our morning netting winner was Imogen
Our afternoon gross winner was Gethin
And our afternoon nett winner was Will.

Our overall nett champion was Charlie

And this years Juniot champion with scores of 74&77 was Ruben.

Credit where credit’s due.

When Matt Manners joined Wrag Barn, we were in the process of updating our website. He looked at what we were planning and simply said, “I think we can do something much better.”

It wasn’t cheap and it certainly wasn’t a quick project, but looking back, it was one of the best investments we’ve made.

Our website now gives visitors a real feel for everything Wrag Barn has to offer, whether it’s golf, weddings, conferences, celebrations or simply enjoying a coffee with a view.

A message from Junior Organiser Chris Hutton

Thursday of junior week - the junior played for the Toby Drayton cup. A coverted trophy for our junior section which is supported every year by our first club captain Bob Drayton .
Nearest the pin winners - Noah and AJ.
Third place overall with 40 points ittai,
Second place was Holly with 41 points and playing only her second comp for the section.
And the winner with 44 points was Seb. Which caps a great week for him winner for the second time.
Next up junior champs on Friday.

A message from Junior Organiser Chris Hutton
Tuesday for the juniors was the playing of the Robert’s and Malham cup. The oldest competition the junior section play for originally sponsored by two past club captains of the club.

Our overall winner with a nett 65 was Seb Whaley
Second place was Ava Floyd with a nett 68
Third place on CB was Charlie Bourne with a nett 69
Best gross with 77 was Gethin jones.

Up next for the juniors the final single matches of the captains vs vice captain matchplay cup
Followed by Ruben’s captain day.
A fun filled day with some fun and games planned.

The Cadet 1s and 2s joined forces for some drills on the range this morning after a warm up routine with Mr Motivator.
In the afternoon the Cadet 1s got creative making flags for a competition on the academy course and the Cadet 2s played with the ladies - a warm but satisfying afternoon for everyone.

Monday for the cadets started with a fun team chipping competition on the range followed by singles matchplay in the afternoon. Those not playing caddied for their friends and as always there were highs and lows but there was also some consistency as Fin retained his title for the second year running 👏👏

A message from Junior Organiser Chris Hutton:
Monday morning of junior was our annual match played with the seniors. A day both sections look forward to all year.
A countback was required with both teams on a score of 49nett.
The winning team was - John ashbury, Roger carter, Thomas Hutton, Andrew Livingstone.
2nd place was - Graham cook, bride Oliver , Lucas rowlett, Jacob Avis smith.
NTP seniors was David brownsall, NTP jnrs was Bobby keen.
Thanks to the senior section for there support of our junior section.
Monday afternoon was the second round of the junior captain vs vice captain matchplay cup.
9 hole foresomes matches, which ended up 3.5/3.5 draw.
The final round of singles will decide who take home the first playing off the cup on Wednesday morning.
Next on for the juniors - Robert’s and malham trophy on Tuesday afternoon.

Day two of Junior Week saw our juniors take on the Rodys Cup in some challenging windy conditions. With the course running fast and firm, there were still some fantastic scores.
