⛳ Hole 12 – One of James Braid's finest

Played from one of the highest points on the course, our par-3 12th is a classic James Braid design that rewards accuracy over power.

The green is there for the taking if you hit it straight, but stray too far right and you'll find the deep ravine. Miss left or right and the bunkers are waiting, while playing too safely to the left leaves a tricky recovery over the large mound guarding the green.

It's a hole that demands commitment... and it just so happens to be our Official Hole in One hole.

⛳ What a fantastic Men's Captain's Weekend at Hartlepool Golf Club!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make Men's Captain Colin Jones' weekend such a memorable occasion.

It may have been two long days and plenty of hard work behind the scenes, but it was all worth it seeing so many members and guests enjoying themselves on the course and in the clubhouse.

Special thanks go to Georgia Jones New and Joanne Patterson for all your help on Saturday – it simply wouldn't have been possible without you.

Thank you also to our brilliant Entertainment Committee – Alfie Richardson, Mark Whitelock, Dave Connor and Bill Duff – along with our DJs Tony Usher and Jason Harrison for helping create such a fantastic atmosphere.

It was great to welcome two Fire Service teams for Sunday's Texas Scramble, and although we avoided the heavy rain, the 10–20mph winds certainly reminded everyone that links golf is never straightforward!

Congratulations to all of our competition winners over the weekend, along with everyone who won the raffles and auction prizes.

A special mention goes to Luke Bassam, who produced the shot of the weekend with a hole in one on the 5th hole! 👏⛳

Most importantly, thank you to all of our members and guests for your incredible generosity. Together, you helped raise over £1,000 for Alice House Hospice and The Fire Fighters Charity – a fantastic achievement for two wonderful causes.

Congratulations once again to all of our winners, and thank you to everyone who helped make Men's Captain's Weekend such a success. 💙
