Harrow Association The Harrow Association is the focus and means by which all Harrovians can maintain their link with the School and with each other.

Today the Association organises House dinners, Songs twice a year, receptions for parents, regional and overseas dinners, parties for special interest groups, events on Speech Day, at Lord's, on Founder's Day and Association Day in September. It acts as a focal point for the various Old Harrovian clubs and societies such as the OH Association Football Club and the OH Players, and helps these organisations to organise events, recruit members and promotes their activities to Association members. The HA provides members with information on addresses of members, and its system of House and Overseas Representatives aims to provide OHs all over the world with as many opportunities to get together as possible. It also provides members with an annual report on Old Harrovian and School activities as well as sending out the Harrow Record magazine twice a year. An email newsletter is sent out to OHs for whom we have an email address twice a year (summer and winter) and The Harrovian Online is available to OHs on the website. For current pupils and young members, the Association liaises with working OHs to find work experience opportunities and makes financial awards to young members who need help with funding for enterprising ventures.

It was wonderful to welcome so many parents at the Reception for Lower Sixth parents at the Oxford and Cambridge Club last week.

The gathering offered an opportunity for Lower Sixth parents to meet and hear from members of the Harrow Association and Harrow School Development teams, to reconnect with fellow parents, and also to hear from the Head Master about his vision for Harrow, plans for the School's new Sports Centre and the next steps for their sons at the School and beyond.

Harry Gibbons (Elmfield 2010³) and his partner Amelia set off from London in September on a three-plus-year overland expedition in their 1989 ex-army Land Rover Defender.

The route crosses Europe, Central Asia and China to Southeast Asia, then Japan, before running the length of the Americas from Alaska to Ushuaia and on to the Guianas, with the possibility of returning home through Africa.

Please join us in wishing them all the best for their journey. You can follow the trip on Instagram at

We were delighted to welcome so many 1986³–1991² OHs, many accompanied by their wives and partners, back to the Hill last Thursday evening for their Forty Years On Songs and Dinner.

We hope all who attended enjoyed a memorable evening, returning to the Hill after forty years to sing Harrow Songs alongside the whole School.

Photographs from the evening are now available to view on OH Connect via the link in our bio.

OHs are welcome to add their own photographs to the album. We would also be delighted to hear from members of this cohort who wish to share memories of their time at Harrow, which may be featured in next year's edition of Follow Up! magazine.

More than 70 parent and Old Harrovian volunteers came together for Harrow School’s annual Careers Convention, sharing their professional experiences and offering advice to Fifth and Sixth Form boys. Representing a wide range of sectors, including finance, law, medicine, the creative arts, technology, sustainability and entrepreneurship, they helped the boys explore the breadth of career opportunities available to them and consider their future paths.

Thank you to all the parents and Old Harrovians who gave their time and expertise, particularly those who return year after year to support the Schools Career Department guide the boys as they navigate their future careers.

Last weekend, the Old Harrovian Sailing Association (OHSA) competed in the annual Arrow Trophy in the Solent, finishing an impressive sixth overall among 26 competing schools.

Organised by the Arrow Trophy Yacht Racing Association, the annual regatta brings together former pupils of independent schools to compete across two fleets of one-design yachts.

Congratulations to all the Old Harrovians who took part. To find out more about the OHSA or get involved, contact Thomas Holtby (The Head Master's 1976¹) via OH Connect.
