Despite the varying opinions, most agree that the most important part of planking comes down to form. As long as your back isn’t sagging, which can put a lot of pressure and stress on your disks and joints, a Plank will engage your muscles.
For me, as a Personal Trainer and Spine Injuries Prevention Specialist, Plank is an exercise that I often see people doing incorrectly in the gym.
