🏉💚 GREEN SHOOTS & A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!

A cracking game for the neutrals at Nunroyd Park this weekend!

Roundhegians came flying out of the blocks, putting 20+ points on the board in the first half and leaving Aireborough with a mountain to climb.

But then… Aireborough woke up! 🔥

A brilliant second-half fightback showed exactly what this team is capable of. Another 20 minutes and who knows what the scoreline might have been! 👀

🌱 More green shoots, but lessons to be learnt. Now to put it together for the full 80!

🏆 MAN OF THE MATCH – CALLUM ODDY

From Rugby League to learning the proper rules 😉, playing a completely new position and getting better every week!

Powerful running, brilliant attitude and an all-round top bloke. This lad’s going from strength to strength! 💪👏

🍆 D*CK OF THE DAY – JAKE FAWCETT

Most injured players can’t wait to get back on the pitch.

Not Jake. 😂

Given the ALL CLEAR by the physio, he decided this particular game wasn’t the one for his comeback!

Waiting for better weather? An easier fixture? A 40-point head start? 👀

What a d*ck! 🍆

🤝 THANK YOU – FIRE INVESTIGATIONS UK

A massive thank you to our matchday sponsors, Fire Investigations UK! 🔥

Your support makes a real difference to grassroots rugby and is hugely appreciated by everyone at Aireborough! 💚

🎤🍻 STARS IN THEIR A.R.S.E.S 2026!

WHAT. A. NIGHT! 😂

Questionable singing, criminal fashion choices and plenty of laughs!

A huge thank you to everyone who performed, organised, volunteered and turned up to support. Nights like these are what club rugby is all about! 💚

🏉 The rugby’s building. The club’s buzzing. Onwards to the next one!

🏉💚 WORK IN PROGRESS… THE GREEN SHOOTS ARE SHOWING! 🌱

After last week’s game against Leos, one thing was clear… we had work to do. A LOT of it! 🔨

The lads put in the hard graft at training and headed into Saturday’s clash with Leeds Medics & Dentists full of confidence, knowing we were in for a tough afternoon against the future of the NHS! 🩺💉

And tough it was!

Young, quick, physical and intelligent, the Medics gave us a proper examination! Despite our efforts, it became clear there was still plenty of learning to do.

BUT… THERE WERE POSITIVES. BIG ONES! 🌱

As the game progressed, the confidence grew, the rugby started flowing and we put together some genuinely brilliant spells of play.

The coaches were delighted to see glimpses of what this team is capable of. The combinations are developing, the belief is building and those all-important GREEN SHOOTS are appearing! 💚

Let’s not forget, this is a brand-new team mixing youth with experience, learning to play together and building something for the future.

Results aren’t going our way just yet, but the effort, commitment and atmosphere around this group are fantastic.

🏆 MAN OF THE MATCH – KEIRAN MARSHALL

WHAT. A. PLAYER! 🔥

Strong, quick, fantastic feet and a proper rugby brain! Intelligent decisions, brilliant running and tremendous heart throughout. Another exciting young talent showing what he’s capable of! 👏

🍆 D*CK OF THE DAY

Apparently, going down injured every five minutes was a tactical masterplan to give the lads a breather! 😂 Very thoughtful, mate… but you’re taking the mickey now! 🚑🤣

💚 BACK TO TRAINING. BACK TO BUILDING. BACK TO WORK.

We’re far from the finished article, but something exciting is taking shape at Aireborough.

Keep turning up. Keep grafting. Keep believing.

THE RESULTS WILL COME! 💪🌱

NEXT STOP: LEEDS MEDICS & DENTISTS! 💥

Another weekend. Another challenge. Another opportunity to make our mark. 🔥

This Saturday, Aireborough RUFC hit the road as we travel to face Leeds Medics & Dentists in what promises to be another fiercely contested encounter.

With a fresh-look squad combining exciting young talent and experienced heads, the lads are continuing to build momentum, develop their combinations and grow stronger with every game.

The foundations are being laid, the belief is growing, and there’s plenty more to come from this Aireborough side. 💪

But nothing comes easy in rugby, and Saturday will be another chance to show exactly what this team is made of.
