Hi all Aireborough Judoka, unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we are unable to train at Unit One for the next two weeks so the next session will be at Guiseley Fieldhead school on 20th February at 19.00. Hope to see everyone there.

Hi to everyone, I am pleased to announce we will be starting Judo sessions again as of Thursday 12th December, Juniors will be 18.30-19.30 and seniors 19.30-20.30 at Unit One Gym. Look forward to seeing everyone. Thanks from Airbourogh judo club.

Hi to all Aireborough Judoka, as you know we have been looking for a new home after the changes at Aireborough leisure centre. This has proved more difficult than we anticipated and at the moment we are unable to restart. We have a couple of possibilities but it is unlikely we will be able to get on the mat before Christmas. However Andy is organising a bowling afternoon on the 14th of this month and all the Juniors are invited. If everyone who can attend please let us know and we will see you then. Thanks again for your patience and we are doing our best to find a new Dojo.

Hi to all Aireborough Judoka, due to reasons beyond our control we are unable to train tonight at Aireborough leisure centre.
Aireborough leisure centre are no longer offering us a slot on Thursday evening, this means we have to move to a different day or move venue. We are currently in negotiations with Guiseley school to be able to train on Thursday evening at the usual time of 7.30. We are hoping we can get this sorted by next week 14th of November.
We will keep everyone informed. Andy, Glenn and Earl will be at Aireborough tonight to take people's details and discuss with everybody what is happening so we can have a smooth transition to our new dojo.

Advanced warning. Aireborough Judo is on this Thursday 3rd and next Thursday 10th of October as normal but then will be closed for 3 weeks 17th, 24th and 31st of October for work on the roof of the activity room.

So everyone come down for some Judo fun before our enforced hiatus and we will be back on the Thursday 7th of November.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that the founder of Aireborough Judo Club, Roy Francis passed away on Friday after a long illness. I loved him very much as did so many others in our judo family.

I know he will be remembered fondly by countless judoka, past and present. He was always a familiar and friendly face at the various competitions around the country. He was always happy to give advice and instruction. His vast knowledge and expertise of the sport will be a great loss for all.

Roy's club, our club, will continue in the spirit he started all those years ago, that of a welcoming atmosphere and the judo ideals.

All our thoughts at this time are with Roy's wife Joy and his family.
