Congratulations to our Grimsby Trawlers IHC Development Team who played their last league game of the season last night.
Massively short benched and with only the Routh family in the supporter seats but they came away with a 6-3 win meaning they finished the season in 3rd place. Not only that but Elliott was presented with a trophy for top points scorer in the whole league.

A year ago today we took our biggest risk ever and closed for what we hoped would be just a few weeks.
The refurbishment took a little longer and we reopened in Oct having completed the biggest upgrade our little rink has ever seen. We invested £100k+ on a new barrier system, new chiller,, changing room refurb and paint job. We think it was well worth it. What about you?

Let's Skate is coming to Grimsby in September!

Let's Skate is a British Ice Skating project backed by Sport England to grow opportunities for disabled people to participate in ice skating.

We have been in discussions about providing inclusive sessions for some time and feel the time is right now.
These sessions will be led by British Ice Skating qualified coaches and volunteers.
Numbers will be kept small and appropriate for the needs of the attendees.

Coach Caroline will provide a Power & Edges Masterclass to get you more speed and control over the ice.
This is for levels 3 & 4 and will be 1 hour long.

Entries are now open to take part in our Christmas show!
This years theme is The Greatest Christmas Show.
Skated to music from The Greatest Showman interspersed with Christmas classics.
Show day will be Sunday 6th December with performances at 2pm & 5pm.
We welcome skaters from across our groups and courses but you must be a minimum of level 5 Skate Uk and you must be able to attend Club sessions for rehearsals.
Club Coaches will look at entries and cast accordingly.
As usual they will take into consideration a number of factors including skating ability, age & friendship groups.
The Coaches decision on casting is final.
Entry is £25 but this year we have an early bird discount of 25% if you submit before 31st August using code TGCS26
Entries close 18th Sept and we will not be accepting any late entries this time.
Once your entry is in please request to join the group shared in the comments. This is where we will try to share all updates.
Obviously the quicker entries are in the quicker the Coaches can start you working on your numbers.😁

How proud are we?!

Guys & Gals you most definitely Rocked the Ice 🤟

Thank you to all that took part.

Some have done loads of these shows now but for some of you it was your 1st time and we know it was a big thing but every single one of you smashed it.

Thank you to our Chaperones Andi & Laura our Announcer Dean, our Sound & Ice Tech Lewis & Kyle and even the Hockey Dads that got balloons thrust in their hands this morning.

These get bigger & better every time and we couldn't do them without Coach Karen who choreographs most of the routines with support from our other coaches Caitlin, Bryony, Vicky & Caroline.

Cant wait to see what we do for Christmas 😁
