Who wants one? ALL you have to do is a kata 100 times! Event will take place mid October (date of lesson to be confirmed). Participation is FREE. Let me know in class on Wednesday if you want to participate and I will get us signed up.

A lesson to always check your sources.

So we have all heard "it only takes 5 pounds of pressure to break a wrist once in a wrist lock". I have heard this from multiple instructors over the years, from various disciplines. Turns out, this is a common hyperbole used to show the weakness in joints when in a lock or hold. It wasn't until I was sat working one day recently that it came to me and I thought "that cannot be true!" and so I did some digging. Turns out, being autistic made me really take that one literally and I have passed it down to you all 😆 so my apologies everyone! As I always teach you, question me and don't assume I am correct 🥋👍
