Our own *Sarah Padbury* One of our colts mum’s and her friends have walked 70 km overnight, with another 40km to go, in a 24-hour walk from Westward Ho! to Paignton, including walking across Dartmoor, raising funds to help provide affordable counselling and mental health support for people across Devon 👏

If you've just moved to the area, looking to get back into rugby, are new to the sport or studying in Exeter this September, Exeter Saracens is the club for you! 🫵

📣 EXETER SARACENS RFC APPOINT NEW DIRECTOR OF RUGBY 📣

Exeter Saracens RFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Thomas as its new Director of Rugby and Senior Men's Head Coach. 

Ben brings to Sarries a wealth of high level coaching experience spanning adult, academy and schools rugby, and currently holds a Level 3 coaching qualification, with the ambition to gain a Level 4 elite coaching qualification.

As Director of Rugby, Ben will oversee all rugby operations at Sarries, setting the club's playing direction spanning from junior level and U18s, to both the adult Men's and Women's set ups. 

Ben is currently Director of Rugby at Taunton School and coaches Scotland Under 18s. Previous experiences include the Academy Coach at Bristol Bears, Director of Rugby and Head Coach role at Chard RFC, where he oversaw the Men's 1XV being promoted to Level 6, and various stints coaching internationally. 

Ben Thomas, Exeter Saracens Director of Rugby and Senior Men’s Head Coach, said:

“I’m delighted to be joining Exeter Saracens and am looking forward to working with the players, coaches, volunteers, and wider club community. 

“Exeter Saracens has a clear ambition for the future, and I’m excited to contribute to the club’s continued development both on and off the field. I can’t wait to get started and begin building towards a successful season together.”

Support A Sarrie!

Will Begy has completed 5 marathons in 5 days, running from Welford Road to The Rec, raising money for My Name’s Doddie Foundation.

Lewis Moody was one of his heroes growing up, and today Will is completing the final leg to ground in time for the match between Bath and Leicester.

So far he’s raised over £10,000 and is closing in on his £15,000 target.

Exeter Saracens RFC are looking to appoint a passionate and ambitious Head Coach, alongside a team of Assistant Coaches, to help lead and develop our senior rugby programme as we continue to drive the club forward.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing club with strong ambitions, a positive environment, and a real focus on player development and progression.

🔴 HEAD COACH WANTED

We are seeking a motivated coach who can:
• Lead and develop the senior squad
• Plan and deliver high-quality training sessions
• Develop match strategies and analyse performances
• Build a positive, competitive team culture
• Work closely with players, coaches, and club officials

Preferred:
✔ Senior rugby coaching experience
✔ RFU Level 2 qualification or higher

⚫ ASSISTANT COACHES WANTED

We are also recruiting assistant coaches to support the new Head Coach and become part of the senior coaching setup.

We are looking for coaches who can:
• Support and lead training sessions
• Help develop players across the squad
• Bring enthusiasm, energy, and strong communication
• Specialise in forwards or backs

Preferred:
✔ Senior rugby experience
✔ RFU Level 2 qualification not essential
