Enfield Golf Club Junior member Freddie Buck is currently competing in the England Golf Reid Trophy. All players are in the under 14 years of age group and as well as England’s top players the cream of Europe are taking part with especially strong contingents from France and Spain.

With Porters Park hosting the event Freddie has scored rounds of 72 and 71 to stand at +3 and is currently in 7th place. Tomorrow is the final round and we wish Fred the very best of luck. You can follow Fred’s progress here - https://www.golfgenius.com/pages/5640376

Congratulations to Enfield Golf Club member Stanley Campbell who is the leading qualifier after the first two strokeplay rounds of the England Golf Mens English Amateur Championship. His 9 under par score wins him the David Frame trophy and he now tees off at 8am tomorrow morning in the first round of the matchplay section. We welcomed 30 guests and staff of Age UK Enfield at the club for afternoon tea today (Tuesday), hosted by our Captain, Kathryn. Everyone enjoyed some sandwiches, sausage rolls and delicious cakes, a good natter and a little go at putting. Our junior captain Zak, ably abetted by Joseph, did a great job chatting to our visitors and leading them on the putting green. A lovely afternoon.

Our 3 man team (Gordon, Richard & Peter) won the Middlesex Golf Coronation Bowl competition at Bush Hill Park Golf Club today.
At the halfway stage we were joint leaders with the host club but a solid effort in the afternoon from all three players led to a comfortable win and also an extra prize for Richard who came second overall in the individual competition. It is nearly 30 years since we last won this trophy (1997) so congratulations to the team
