Town started the game brightly and could’ve been ahead but for a brilliant save from the embsay keeper tipping Miles Thompson's effort on to the bar. Embsay grew into the game and scored with a scramble at the back stick just after half time. Town’s late pressure told when Micky Conroy headed home from a set piece to setup a frantic finale.

We couldn’t grab the winner despite a lot of tired Embsay legs which meant the lottery of penalties. Embsay won 4-3 after 7 each in the shootout. All support was greatly appreciated and well done to Embsay FC for their great first season πŸ‘

That’s a LEAGUE & CUP DOUBLE for EMBSAY FCπŸ†πŸ†

On Friday night Embsay were crowned Morrison Cup Champions after beating Premier Division side Skipton Town AFC . In a very tight contest Embsay took a well deserved lead early on in the 2nd half, through winger Jake Rennison. Embsay’s opponents put the pressure on soon after and a long ball in the box was cleared but ricocheted on to a Skipton Town player and found the back of the net. Penalties to come…

With both sides missing 2 penalties, the shootout went down to sudden death. It was Skipton who missed first and the blues claims their 2nd trophy of the season πŸ”΅

The blues are in action this Tuesday night, in what will be their final league game of the season. The lads officially just need 1 point, to clinch the title and be crowned champions of the league. Embsay faced their opponents at the start of the season coming away with a 7-1 win, so will be hoping for a similar result on Tuesday night. The weathers set to be a warm one, so all support would be much appreciated to cheer the boys on βš½οΈπŸ”΅πŸ’ͺπŸ‘β˜€οΈ

EMBSAY ARE IN THE MORRISON CUP FINAL πŸ’ͺβš½οΈπŸ”΅

The blues faced Sedbergh & Dent United Football Club last night in the Morrison Cup Semi Final, which was played at neutral ground, Settle United Football Club. Embsay knew nothing about their opponents who started the game the better side going 0-1 up from a corner. This was soon 0-2 as they put away a penalty just after half an hour.

The blues soon turned it on and after missing a handful of chances, finally hit the back of the net just before half time, 1-2. In to the 2nd half it was all Embsay searching for that equaliser. Sedbergh & Dent defended well but the blues got there reward for their hard work and the score was level, 2-2 with only 20 minutes left. Neither side could find a winner so it was on to penalties…

After the 1st Sedbergh & Dent player dragged his penalty wide, it was up to the 5 Embsay lads to put there’s away. All of which did superbly, winning the shootout 5-4 πŸ’ͺ πŸ”΅πŸ’ͺ
