♠️♥️ Elgin Café Bridge 2026 ♦️♣️

Registration is now OPEN for Elgin’s second Café Bridge event, taking place on **Thursday 27th August**!

Come along for a fantastic day of bridge, friendship and fun while enjoying play at a variety of welcoming local venues across Elgin. Whether you're catching up with old friends or making new ones, Café Bridge offers a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.

We’re delighted to be raising funds once again for **CLAN**, our local cancer charity, helping to support people and families across the area.

Last year’s event was a huge success, with delicious home bakes provided by our members, great venues, plenty of laughter, and a wonderful opportunity to mingle with fellow bridge players. We’re looking forward to making this year even better!

Congratulations to the Class of 25/26 on completing the Beginners Course!
They now head into a summer of practice and consolidation before deciding on the next step in their Bridge adventure.

If you’re looking for a new challenge that’s social, fun, and fantastic for your brain, why not give Bridge a try?

👏🏻 Congratulations to Carole Lovie and her team from Aberdeen Bridge Club on their first Cafe Bridge held last Wednesday. We had a fabulous time and loved catching up with those of you we know as well as meeting and getting to know some of the other members.
😉I even got to have a little tipple 🍷 as Sean was driving.
For those of you who haven’t attended a Cafe Bridge and would like to try one for yourself or if you are a regular Cafe Bridge attender, save the date for the Elgin and Perth Cafe Bridge events on the 27th August and 28th August respectively. Bookings due to open soon. 🔜

What a lovely Saturday night we had! 😊

We kicked things off with a fantastic curry night at Panache 🍛 before heading back to the centre for an evening of bridge. It was so nice to see everyone in a different setting, relax, chat, and really enjoy each other’s company outside the usual tables. Nights like these remind us that bridge is about so much more than just cards — it’s about friendship, laughter, and being part of a welcoming community ❤️

If you’ve ever thought about learning bridge, why not take the plunge? We have lessons starting this September, and we’d love for you to join us. It’s a great way to meet new people, keep your mind active, and become part of something really special.

🙌🏻 Congratulations to Anna and Tony Thompson who were the highest placed pair from the Elgin Bridge Centre heat of the Hugh Kelsey Cup for beginners.

🤩 They came in a creditable eighth place out of 73 competing pairs. Full results can be seen on the Elgin Bridgeweb site

🎉🌉 Elgin Bridge Congress is BACK and re-birthed! 🙌🏻♠️♥️♦️♣️

This weekend, Elgin Bridge Centre proudly held its first Congress since Covid times — and what a fantastic weekend it was! 🎊

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success:

🌉♠️ Aberlour Bridge Club Hits the Road! ♣️☀️
Last week, we had an amazing outing to Café Bridge in beautiful Plockton, and what a day it was! Huge thanks to Jenny Allen for organizing our trip and to the Kyle of Lochalsh Club for hosting such a fantastic event. 🙌👏
The funds raised went to the village hall—a truly worthy local cause. 🏠✨ The roof needs insulating to help bring down those heating bills and keep everyone nice and cozy in the winter. ❄️🔥
We had a blast with great games, great company, and some unforgettable laughs. The weather? Absolutely spectacular! 🌞🌊 Plockton was showing off, and we loved every second of it.
Here’s to more days like this! 🥂♣️
