A fantastic day with fellow ScotSAC members learning from Gareth Lock about human factors, decision-making, communication, and the reality of how incidents develop in diving. 🤿
One of the strongest messages was that safe diving is rarely about individual heroics. It’s built through teamwork, honest communication, situational awareness, and creating an environment where divers feel comfortable speaking up early. Those small decisions and conversations underwater and topside make a huge difference. 🌊
Sessions like this are hugely valuable for the Scottish diving community, helping divers, instructors, and clubs continue learning from both experience and research.
A huge thank you to Gareth for an engaging and thought-provoking presentation 👏
