Sumi has attended classes for years at her local gym, but not seen the results she has been looking for.

After joining us, she is feeling more confident, she’s lost body fat, gained knowledge about strength training and the importance of diet and particularly resistance training.

I met Sumi around 10 years ago when I started as a gym instructor and it’s been wonderful that she’s followed my journey ever since and put her faith in me all these years later. It’s lovely to watch Sumís development over the past few weeks, with the support of her partner joining in sessions too!

Looking forward to seeing more progress over the next few weeks.

Jodie has been training with us for a few years now and is always showing up with brilliant energy and 100% effort. Joe started off a little hesitant about training with us due to not having exercised for years - after an impressive start with sport as a young adult.

Resistance training isn’t just for building muscle — it’s one of the best things you can do for your bones, too.

When you lift weights or perform strength-based exercises, your bones respond to the stress by becoming stronger and denser over time. This helps reduce the risk of osteoporosis, fractures, and age-related bone loss.

Exercises like squats, lunges, pull ups (any resistance training) work can all support long-term bone health. The key is consistency: even 2–3 strength sessions per week can make a meaningful difference.

Strong muscles support strong bones — and both are essential for staying active, balanced, and independent as you age.
