A huge congratulations to club stalwarts Garry Maguire and Stefan Grimes as manager and coach respectively of Dungannon United Youth U16 as they where crowned, The Gordon Group MUYL Championship winners on Friday night past.

Such is the dedication of Garry to local football he left our managers wedding on Friday evening to oversee his sides victory before returning to the wedding!

Also a big congratulations to the players themselves who often watch the Rovers on a Saturday evening!

Today the Rovers welcome Moira Albion to Drumcoo Playing Fields. Moira picked up the points in their previous meeting just last month so Dungannon will be eager to take them today!

Kick off 2.15pm

Last week a late equalizer seen the points shared as the Rovers player Coalisland Bhoys. Tricky conditions with the wind left it very much a game of two halves with Dungannon enjoying more of the ball in the 2nd half and screamer from just inside the Bhoys half from the evergreen Lee Maguire had the town side claiming all 3 points until an attacking corner wasn't taken advantage off and the Bhoys broke and equalized with minutes left to play.

A disappointing loss on Saturday past as the Rovers went down 3-2 to Moira Albion. Both goals coming from Caleb Mackay!

A huge thanks to Moira Albion for accommodating and joining us in a moment's silence in memory of past player JJ Kennedy.

It's with great sorrow that the club have learnt of the untimely passing of former player JJ Kennedy. JJ played in a successful side in the late 2000s that won a league and cup double. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family circle and his friends in the coming days and weeks.

Drumcoo under the lights was the setting as AFC Dungannon hosted the Rovers last night.

A cagey affair where neither side really got going but it was ourselves that took a two goal lead with goals from Dinis and Adam Palmer. AFC pulled a late goal back to leave a nervy ending but the lads pulled through and held strong for the points, which in turn seen them draw level with 2nd place Lisburn Youth albeit the City side stay 2nd with a superior goal difference but having played a game more than the Dungannon lads.

There's 7 games left in the 25/26 season with highflying league leaders Cookstown Olympic the visitors on Saturday. The league newcomers don't intend to hang around long as they've went unbeaten so far in their maiden season in Mid Ulster Football, so a stern test awaits the hosts.

After a number of weeks with no football and a disappointing cup exit to Castlecaufield FC the Rovers had a comfortable 5-1 victory over CGR FC on Saturday past with goals coming from.

Jordon Hazelton x2
Shea OHanlon
Caleb Mackay
Donal Mallon

This sets them up for a tough midweek task against town rivals AFC Dungannon tonight at Drumcoo. A 2 nil Rovers win back in November was followed a postponed game in December when an AFC player sustained an unfortunate injury.

All support greatly appreciated tonight !
