πŸ‰ WE’RE LOOKING FOR A HEAD COACH FOR OUR KITTENS! 🐿️

Do you have a passion for rugby and helping young children develop confidence, friendships and a love for sport?

Drybrook RFC is looking for someone to step up into one of the most important coaching roles in our club – Head Coach for our Kittens section.

This role is all about creating a fun, welcoming and engaging environment for our youngest players as they begin their rugby journey. Working alongside our fantastic assistant coaches and parent helpers, you’ll take the lead in planning and delivering sessions every Sunday morning from 9:30am–10:30am.

You don’t need to be an experienced rugby coach – enthusiasm, energy and a willingness to inspire young children are what matter most.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, help shape the future of Drybrook RFC and create memories that will last a lifetime for our youngest members.

Interested or would like to find out more?

Reflections on 25/26
Now we have come to the end of another season I have been reflecting on what has passed and what we can look forward to.
The senior men's teams found it hard going. Being an amateur team with a small catchment area was always going to be a tough ask in a mainly semi-pro league. Both the 1st and 2nd XV were promoted at the end of 2025 and the step up coinciding with players leaving left us with an uphill battle. Never once did the players selected let the teams down. We almost stayed up, just losing out in the play-off final. Thank you to all the players that have represented us this season. We have been able to blood some very promising young talent and next year I believe we will be in a far better position. It is sad to say farewell to Chris Fortey our coach and we wish him all the best in whatever the future may bring. He was not only the coach he was our friend and contributed so much in what we have achieved over the past ten years. The new coaching set-up next season looks great, and with the edition of our colts coming through to play senior rugby it is an exciting time to be involved.
Drybrook Ladies RFC continue to go from strength to strength and had another fantastic season. The leadership team will still be in place next year and I am certain they will once again perform well and inspire the many girls we have playing rugby at the club in our very successful girls section.
The Junior boys and kittens remain a huge part of what Drybrook is all about and we will always endeavour to provide the best facilities and coaching for our young players.
Off the field of play it has been a very sad time for the club. We have lost many who have played a huge part in making Drybrook what it is, and they will of course be missed greatly. I am not a religious man, but i do believe that the spirit of certain people is strong enough to live on and the ones who have passed will certainly live on at the Mannings.
We have put together a tribute to those special men and they will always be a part of our special family.
Drive on Dry !

What an incredible day for Gloucestershire County Women! β€οΈπŸ’™πŸ‰

A huge congratulations to Katie Carter and Stevie Liddiatt, who were part of an outstanding Gloucestershire side that secured a fantastic 52-17 victory over Middlesex in today's semi-final.

The determination, skill, teamwork and passion shown by the entire squad were nothing short of exceptional. To see Katie and Stevie achieve this success is something we are all immensely proud of. Their hard work, commitment and dedication throughout the season have truly paid off, and today's result is thoroughly deserved.

Now the journey continues as Gloucestershire head to the Final at Twickenham next Sunday β€” an achievement every player, coach and supporter should be incredibly proud of.

Wishing Katie, Stevie and every member of the squad the very best of luck for the final. Enjoy every moment, believe in yourselves, and give it everything you've got. We will all be cheering you on every step of the way!

Go well, girls β€” you've already made us proud, and we can't wait to see what you can achieve at Twickenham! β€οΈπŸ†πŸ‰

Good luck from all of us x
