CANTER TRACKS ARE OPEN AGAIN

Following some decent rainfall over the last week or two, the grass has greened up and grown. The tracks have all been topped this week so are open again.

Judith Barker Jumping Clinic

Judith held another successful clinic here at Bylaugh on 29th August.

For the riders, she aimed to get them to focus on looking for their next fence; rhythm and accuracy. For the horses it was about suppleness; balance and engagement. The same exercises were used for experienced horses to a 5yr old who jumped his first fence.

Judith will be back at Bylaugh on the 3rd October for a Thoroughbred Aftercare Programme Training clinic. She will also have a limited number of places for non-thoroughbreds.

POLE WORK AND DRESSAGE CLINIC WITH EMILY COLLER ON 25th JULY

MORNING: Using poles to focus on Dressage movements and/or way of going. Emily tailors the pole work exercises to each individual combination to help build your horses strength, support soundness and keep variety in flat work.

AFTERNOON: Test riding - An opportunity to ride through a test of your choice with a British Dressage qualified coach. Emily‘s aim is to give riders confidence, enthusiasm and clarity with where marks are gained/lost in dressage.

She will run and evaluate your chosen test whilst working methodically back to look at how you can utilise your warm up with exercises and time how long you should warm up for. Alternatively, it could be very productive to run through your first test if you haven’t ridden one yet! Feel free to bring your recent test sheets for Emily to look through to.
