Building work capacity ! 🧱 🔨

When I first started training, no one told me the importance of building work capacity. To progress and mitigate injuries, you need to build a solid foundation that can handle stress.

So, what is work capacity? It’s essentially your body’s ability to tolerate and adapt to increasing amounts of physical stress. By gradually increasing volume and intensity over time, we help our bodies adapt and get stronger. This steady progression allows us to lift heavier and perform better without compromising our long-term health.

3 MORE exercises that will help you on your journey to hit harder 🥊

Cable wood-chops : To punch harder we need rotational strength. The cable woodchop is a good way to develop that rotational strength. 🪓

Med ball throws: plenty of variations to this one but the premise is simple. Throw the ball as hard and as fast as possible to develop our ability to create rotational power. 💥

Trap Bar Deadlift : Solid exercise to build lower body strength which is essential if you want to punch harder as how hard you hit has a massive correlation to how much force you can put into the floor. 🏋️‍♀️
