Harps CC racers had a big race weekend past.
We had two members racing in the Prestigious Carn Wheelers 2 Day Stage race held on the roads of south Derry. Dolan Dunlop and Elena Wallace represented the club in the C3 event, both competing well over the gruelling 3 stages with Elena Wallace finishing an excellent first overall in the woman’s category.

Busy few weeks racing for Harps CC member Elena Wallace taking her best result of the season with 1st place and gold medal in the Intervarsity Championships .
A strong 3rd place at Waller Cup in Bohermeen in the Woman’s Race .
7th place overalll in the combined race at Alan Towell Memorial Race in Banbridge
7th PJ Logan races hosted by Island Wheelers .
Next up is the Carn Wheelers stage race this coming Bank Holiday weekend.

Today we said our final goodbyes to our great friend Rodney Buchanan as he was laid to rest. Rodney passed away from a fall whilst cycling on his favourite road to Cap Formentor lighthouse in Mallorca 13:-04-2026.
It has been an absolute pleasure to have shared the roads with Rod.
He will be dearly missed by all his friends in Harps Cycling Club.

Weekend round up. Elena Wallace back in the racing field again at the Phoenix GP on the Nutts Cornor circuit. Another strong finish saw her finish 1st Woman in the combined C3 race.

We also had Mark McCann and Stephen Hutchinson racing at the Lakelander Gravel Grinder event in Fermanagh.

Racing season is back. Harps CC had Elena Wallace and Dolan Dunlop in action on Saturday at the Banbridge road races with Elena finishing strongly in a bunch sprint.

On Sunday Elena travelled to Navan for Round 1 of the National Series , another strong showing in the Woman’s Elite racing finishing 9th overall.

A hard fought battle and a highly competitive 5th place for Elena Wallace in the CX National Championships. A great days racing on the most challenging course of the winter season and tough conditions.

Harps CC CX star Elena Wallace on the podium again the in the final round of the Cycling Ireland National League CX Series . A brilliant 2nd place after another tough days racing . This event was held in Ballinasloe , Galway.
Next up is the final race of the CX Season . The National Championships in Castle Saunderson , Cavan this coming weekend.
We wish Elena the best of luck .
