I’m not usually one for posting lifts or bodyweight stuff but…

Lately training has felt off.

Strength hasn’t felt great.
Motivation hasn’t been great.
Work, stress and life can all creep in and make you feel like you’re going backwards.

Yesterday I nearly talked myself out of training altogether.

Ended up thinking… I’ll just test where I’m at.

200kg trap bar deadlift @ 77kg bodyweight.

Not posting this to brag.

Posting it because sometimes your head convinces you that you’re weaker, less fit or making no progress… when in reality you’re stronger than you think.

Progress isn’t always linear.
You won’t always feel motivated.
You won’t always feel your strongest.

But consistency compounds quietly in the background.

Keep showing up.
Even on the days you doubt yourself.

Not usually one for posting photos showing my body if I’m being honest.
Like a lot of people, I still have days where confidence isn’t fully there and I overthink posting things like this. But I also think it’s important to show that nobody feels 100% confident all the time, no matter what stage they’re at.

Been honest with myself lately too… training has felt sluggish as hell the past couple of weeks.
Low energy, flat sessions, mentally not feeling switched on in the gym at all.

But today was a different story 🔥
Everything clicked again. I felt STRONG, the energy was there, the pump was unreal and I even hit PBs during the session 💪

It was also a reminder that progress isn’t always linear.
Not every week is going to feel amazing, not every session will feel perfect, and sometimes your body just feels off for a while. The important thing is continuing to show up.

What’s even better is I’ve actually leaned out during this period WITHOUT cutting out foods I enjoy.
Still had McDonalds, meals out, snacks etc… just keeping things under control overall instead of going extreme.

That’s the part people struggle to believe:
You do NOT need to live on rabbit food to make progress.
Consistency beats perfection every single time 💯

Balance > restriction.
Sustainable always wins.
