What a day

U10's Playing their last game of the season with only 5 players in a 7v7 match. Being down in the first half and no one would have blamed them for giving up. But no these lads never give up and fight till the end. And because of their fight and determination they came away with the win. Well done to all.

U12's Also playing their last game of the season but this match was a little different. This match was against Parkeston Welfare in The CDYFL's U12's Presidents Cup.
I was a hot one today and we decided to be in red hot form coming out 7-0 winners. These lads are absolutely amazing.

Goal scorers were

Brody X3
Jacob X1
Zack X1
Harley X1
Oliver X1

And for the first time this season we had a Clean Sheet for

Alin

Player Of The Match
(chosen by CDYFL's President)

Brody.

Couldn't be any more proud of all these players in both teams.

Keep up the hard work.

Time is almost upon us. CDYL Presidents Cup U12's. The coming Sunday. So looking forward to it and really hoping to come away with the win.
As long as the lads work hard as a team they will show everyone what they are really capable of.

This team makes me so proud every time they step on a pitch.

Come on Inspire

This is a post of sad news. It's been hard for the family and after letting parents from our teams know first. I've been trying to find the right way to let others know.
This is with a heavy heart I'm saying this. But after a battle with Cancer one of our U12's players Dad sadly passed away during the week.
Although our match today was abandoned before halftime Matt Hagon would have been so proud of his son today. The way this lad went out on that pitch and got stuck right in. I couldn't be any prouder myself.
We had a minute's silence before today's match and we will do another one next week at home in honour or Matt.

R.I.P Matt Hagon

This is a big hate of mine. It's true advertising trials with stipulations of what the coach is asking for is wrong. If you can't coach and develop kids to become better players no matter the result then you shouldn't be near a team. This is what a lot of parents need to realise as well. Taking their child away from a team/club that gave them their start in the game. To join a team/club that only wants to poach kids year after year and put every kids position at risk every season. Need to realise they are just going to cause more problems with their kids if their child gets dropped.

A recent grassroots survey revealed a whopping 89% of teams have had a player approached by another coach to play for them.

This past Sunday 25/01/26 we had great results for both teams

U10's
Colsted Inspire Youth ✅ Vs Brooklands Whites
(score can't be revealed FA Rules)
But it was an excellent result especially for our lads who only had 6 players and opposition had full team plus many subs.

U12's
Colsted Inspire Youth 4-1 Oyster Youth Blues
Colsted scorer's
Jacob T
Oliver B
Zack K
Oyster OG

POTM X2
Harley C
Oliver B

We only had the 9 players and Harley was amazing playing up top while in pain the whole game he played to my instructions perfectly. Which helped him get through the game, putting in one of the POTM performances.
Oliver was another with a POTM performance playing out of position on the left of midfield and it was one of his best performances for a while.
In all honesty any of the players could have got the trophy as all were outstanding. The first 25 minutes of the game we were camped in the Oyster half then Oyster managed to get their first corner of the game in the last 5 minutes of the first half. At halftime it was 2-0 to us.
Second half we lacked concentration for the first couple of minutes and after a long ball from the Oyster Keeper their striker latched on to the ball and walked through our defence to score. After refocusing our boys stepped up a gear and just kept pressing forward. Eventually winning the game comfortably.

This was a very well played game by both teams. Thoroughly loved it. Well done to all. ⚽

Both the U10's and U12's are looking for more players.
U10's have 1 or 2 spots left for versatile players.
U12's are looking for a CB or Striker as well have played majority of our matches with the bare 9 players and no subs. Some matches we've only had 8 although we have 12/13 signed on.

So far these are the team photos we've had this season. We need to do some new ones with the full teams of players still at the club. But these are good for the memories so far.
