Following on from the fantastic news of the club returning to The ECB Premier League, further good news comes to Cutthorpe CC in the guise of representative cricket.

Two of our girls, Maria Andrews and Sophia McCollum have been selected to join the Loughborough Lightning EPP program that scouts and recruits players across the East Midlands. This is a highly competitive process and a super achievement by both these talented and hard working players. This is the first step on the way into the professional women’s game. The hard work starts now!

Further, Albert Fisher and Henry Walker have been selected by Derbyshire U13’s for the coming year. This is once again a fantastic achievement for two the lads who are both talented and exciting cricketers, definitely ones to watch in the coming years!

With trials and selections at various other age groups still not finalised, we may well have further good news to follow in the near future.

‪Yesterday the first team took part in a T20 competition🏏 The team overcame Sawley and Long Eaton CC in the first game before taking on Stainsby Hall CC in the final, winning the group and booking their place at the finals day🏏 Thanks to Sawley and Long Eaton CC for hosting the event☀️ The lads are pictured here!‬ Well done lads🏏🏏

Another packed out weekend for Cutthorpe🏏 The 1st XI travel to Rolleston CC, looking to carry on from last Saturday! The 2nd XI host Sawley and Long Eaton from 1.00PM, and the 3rd XI travel to Answorth☀️☀️ There is no 4th XI game however on Sunday the 1st XI travel to Sawley and Long Eaton to play in a T20 competition against Stainsby Hall 🏏🏏
