🌡️ Is there a legal maximum working temperature? No. Should you wait for one to manage heat risk? Absolutely not.

Under the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Management Regulations, you must assess and control heat as a foreseeable risk. That's it. It doesn't matter if the unions push for 25°C, 27°C, or 30°C. Your obligation starts now.

Last summer was the hottest on record. This May was the hottest May ever recorded. Treating a heatwave as a surprise is no longer a defence.

The duty is already there.
