Two contact points. Two very different outcomes. 🏏
🟢 On the left — a later contact point, used to work the ball down to the third man. Low risk, and it rotates the strike.
🟠 On the right — forcing an early contact point on a similar ball, dragging the bat path away from where it needs to be. Result? An in-air chance.
The lesson: you don't always need to force the ball to score. Finding your required contact point and being willing to play the ball later lets you rotate strike, build an over, and take the pressure off yourself.
Rotating strike doesn't just reduce your own risk — it shifts pressure back onto the bowling side and increases your chances of seeing more bad balls to put away 🎯
Be your own analyst. Know your contact points. Play the situation, not just the ball.
