🔵🔴🟡Buxton U15s Secure Impressive Victory Over Rotherham Titans 🔵🔴🟡
Buxton U15s produced an outstanding performance to secure a well-deserved victory over Rotherham Titans, showcasing excellent attacking rugby, teamwork and the progress being made on the training pitch.
Buxton got off to a flying start, with Aidan H. powering over for the opening try to set the tone for the afternoon.
The second try soon followed and was a fantastic example of attacking rugby. The lads moved the ball brilliantly from one side of the pitch to the other, stretching the Rotherham defence before Ollie Stewart broke through the defensive line, raced down the outside and finished under the posts.
The third try was arguably one of the highlights of the first half. Starting deep inside their own 22 from a lineout, Buxton produced excellent ball handling and support play, working the ball through the team before Charlie Williams powered through from halfway to finish brilliantly in the corner.
Half-time: Buxton 17–0 Rotherham Titans
Buxton started the second half just as strongly. Rotherham attempted to catch the home side off guard with a kick over the top, but Luke H. dealt with it superbly. Collecting the ball in his own half, Luke charged through four tackles before racing away to score under the posts.
The fifth and final try came from captain fantastic Aidan , who claimed his second of the afternoon. Excellent work from the forwards, running through their pods and creating space, allowed Aidan to run onto the ball and finish in the corner. It was a superb demonstration of the attacking structure and teamwork the squad have been developing in training.
Rotherham battled hard throughout and managed to score two tries of their own, but Buxton remained composed to see out the game and secure the 29 - 14 win.
It was a fantastic all-round team performance, with the lads combining strong forward play, intelligent attacking rugby and excellent support running to deliver a result they can be proud of.
Congratulations to the whole squad.👏💪🏉
