🫡 THANK YOU ZACH 🫡

Yesterday was an emotional day as we said good bye to one of the original OGs Zach.

Having been part of the family for over 5 years now Zach has moved house which means getting to the sessions is extremely difficult each week.

You were the pain in my neck, you tested my patience weekly but my god you were the life and soul of AGK. A huge void is going to be left, your energy, charisma & chaotic nature will be missed mate.

I remember the first session at Danson, everyone said to me how hard you are to coach and engage but to me I see myself & I knew that with the right tailored approach I could make this work & I am so proud I backed myself to do that because I have been so fortunate to see your growth on and off the pitch. You have turned into such a polite and kind young man with the personality of a 60 year old man who loves to moan but deep down it’s because you like me getting onto you about working harder 😂

This one was tough not gonna lie, a huge miss for me personally but I know you’ll carry on smashing it!

As the school term ends and the summer holidays start this is a reminder that WE DO NOT STOP !!!!!

We run all year round be it with 1 kid, 2 kids or 20 kids our Thursday and Saturday Session continue !

What better way to get a football bug or to give a new position a go then watching the World Cup and getting inspired !!

We take all abilities : Academy - Grass Roots - no team - just for fun ! We do not turn anyone away 🙌🏼

His awards for non GK related work more outfielder based but in the last couple of weeks Frank has decided to give goalkeeping a go !! Fast forward 2/3 weeks Frank has just gone full pelt into the madness and is slowly becoming a very good, brave individual who wants to learn and isn’t afraid to give to the big boys when beating them at foot golf ⛳️!!

🌺 TIME TO GET OUR FLOWERS 🌺

A huge congratulations to all of our goalkeepers who were recognised at this season’s Youth Team Presentation Day. Your awards are a reflection of the hard work, dedication, resilience and commitment you’ve shown throughout the year. Every session, every match, every challenge faced has contributed to your development, and you should all be incredibly proud.

A massive thank you also goes to the families who stand on the sidelines week after week, rain or shine. Your encouragement, sacrifices and commitment make a huge difference and help create the environment these young players need to thrive.

To those who picked up awards today – well deserved. To those who didn’t receive an award this time around – keep your heads high. Awards are only one small measure of progress. Growth, improvement, character and effort often happen long before they are recognised publicly, and every goalkeeper in our group has contributed to a fantastic season.

One thing I firmly believe in is the value of specific goalkeeper training. The position demands unique skills, decision-making and confidence, and through dedicated, age-appropriate coaching we continue to see players develop and achieve results. Most importantly, we do this in an inclusive environment where every goalkeeper is supported, challenged and given the opportunity to improve regardless of their starting point.

The awards are great, but seeing young goalkeepers grow in confidence, ability and love for the game is the real success.

Well done to every goalkeeper this season. Keep working, keep learning and keep believing. 🧤⚽️👏

🧤 FULL CIRCLE MOMENTS : ➡️➡️➡️➡️

The last time Oli was in one of our Thursday sessions was way back in 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣ - since then he has gone on to sign on at Crystal Palace coming on leaps & bounds !

Ols jumped into it last night with his brother Arthur who is getting the bug and slowly becoming a good GK too (must run in the family) !!

Great to see you again Ols keep smashing it mate 🔥
