RESULTS AND MATCH REPORTS!!!
Match report - 1st Team
Town started their first leauge game away in perfect conditions to Buckland.
Town arrived with high hopes for the upcoming season, but those hopes were soon put in check by a fit and hungry Buckland side who finished every forward move they had in the first 15 mins to kill off Town.
5-0 down 15 mins played, game over.
The first half ended 8-1, Cheeko coming on as an early 1st half substitution lobbed the keeper with an excellent finish, enabled by Town remembering how to play football momentarily.
Second half highlights for Town, another quality goal and finish by Cheeko.
Buckland were worthy of everything they got this afternoon. Always helps when you’re a big club and can pull on resources from within the club.
Town will hurt from this.
A new manager and lots of new players playing together for the first time in a line up unrecognisable from the side that finished last season in mid table.
Leagues aren’t won or lost in the first game.
However, Town will need to perform as a team from the first whistle in their next game at home to Signal Box to achieve their goals and ambitions this season.

Match Report - 2nd Team
Brixham Town Seconds 4–4 Signal Box Frankfort Seconds
If ever there was a game that proved football really is a game of two halves, this was it!
Brixham Town Seconds kicked off their season at JC Park against Signal Box Frankfort Seconds, and what followed was a proper live wire of a game — packed with goals, drama, headers, comebacks and enough twists and turns to keep everyone on their toes.
Unfortunately, it was Signal Box who started brightest.
Nine minutes in, they took the lead, and on the half-hour mark they doubled their advantage. Town's midfield were struggling to get to grips with the pace and intensity of the game, and despite a couple of internal changes being made, things weren't quite clicking.
Then, just when Town needed to get to half-time and regroup, came another blow.
On 42 minutes, Signal Box were awarded a penalty, which they calmly converted to make it 3-0.
And, as if that wasn't enough, just two minutes before the break they found the net again.
4-0.
You could forgive anyone inside JC Park for thinking the game was done and Town's day was over.
But then…
BANG! 💥
Right on half-time, up stepped Bay.
Picking the ball up on the right-hand side, Bay absolutely smashed one into the top-left corner, giving the Signal Box keeper absolutely no chance.
4-1.
A tiny glimmer of hope.
At half-time, management made a couple of changes and tweaks, and the message was simple: get hold of the ball and start playing football, we are still in this game, something had to change.
And change it did.
Town came out for the second half a completely different side — with belief, energy and purpose.
On 61 minutes, Zach was introduced, and with his first touch he delivered a dangerous ball into the box from a corner.
Waiting for it was Rich, who rose magnificently and absolutely powered a header into the top corner!
4-2.
Suddenly, JC Park had a pulse again.
Town believed.
And then, on 72 minutes, something happened that frankly nobody saw coming…
Shaun Langdon scored a header.
Yes. Shaun Langdon.
After approximately 20 years of waiting, Shaun finally found the back of the net with his head — and what a time to do it!
4-3.
Game on.
Town were flying now, and just four minutes later, on 76 minutes, Kody delivered a beautiful cross into the box.
And who else?
Shaun Langdon
He buried it.
4-4.
Unfortunatly Towns center forward waa then given a straight red for a late challenge meaning Town had to finish the game with 10 men. I feel if we had 11 till the end we may have nicked it but...
From FOUR-NIL DOWN to FOUR-FOUR.
Absolutely incredible.
The final whistle eventually came, and the spoils were shared. But make no mistake — after the first half, a point would have looked a million miles away.
To come back from 4-0 down and earn a well-deserved 4-4 draw showed tremendous character, belief and togetherness from everyone involved.
A huge amount to work on, of course, but an even bigger amount to be proud of.
A special mention must also go to Signal Box Frankfort Seconds, who were a brilliant team, had a brilliant coach, and showed nothing but respect towards our club, our players and our facilities. It was a pleasure to host you, and we wish you all the best for the season.
