But honestly… worth every penny.

Because this is how juniors really learn golf.

Not standing in lines smashing balls endlessly…

But through games, pressure, competition, creativity and FUN 👊

Watching the boys and girls realise:

Beautiful sunshine and course looking stunning for our Junior Stableford Competition today☀️

Congratulations to our winner Charlie Hazell with 44 points and to runner-up Will Rellie with 38 points👏

Both will receive a voucher at Junior presentation night in November🙌

Well done to two of our new Junior Members, Sonny Rich & Will Guibarra on being recently awarded with handicaps and both entering their first 18 hole competition today, good result from both boys👏

Wilf Sheppard and Harry Fletcher also marked 9 hole cards towards their handicaps today, playing behind the competition, great work all⛳️

125mph club head speed… 👀💨
Yeah, Oli has got some serious firepower.

But speed alone doesn’t guarantee low scores. Power is great… but control is what travels under pressure 👀

Out on the course we focused on the things that actually transfer to scoring:

⛳️ Process
🧠 Clarity over the shot
📍 Adjusting correctly for slopes and lies
🎯 Predictable contact and ball flight around the greens

With speed over 125mph, the impact window becomes tiny. Tiny errors create big misses.

So a huge part of the work is learning to release the club more efficiently through impact to tighten dispersion, improve strike quality, and gain more control 🔥

Really pleased with the progress already showing in the long game 👏

Now it’s about sharpening the scoring tools:

✔️ Better decisions
✔️ Cleaner strikes on sloping lies
✔️ More predictable short game shots
✔️ Turning power into lower scores 📉

Even elite speed players still need structure and process to score.

Excited to see what Oli can produce this season 🔥🏌️

“Fix OR find your flight?” 🤔⛳

Most golfers try to fix it…
mid-round… under pressure… 😅

That’s why the first few holes feel like chaos
No calibration = no idea what your ball is doing.
🔥 10–15 min calibration that actually works:

1. CONTACT FIRST 🪓
Half swings. Feet together.
Brush the ground after the ball.

→ Strike before style.

2. START LINES 🎯
Pick a target.
5 balls starting left.
5 balls starting right.

→ Control the face = control the flight.

3. FIND THE MIDDLE 🔁
Straight lives between your draw and fade.

Work both shapes.
Feel the face open. Feel it close.

→ Find neutral through awareness.

4. BALL MODE ON 🧠➡️🏌️‍♂️
Pick it. See it. Hit it.

→ No swing thoughts. Just play.

Single figure handicap… but still leaking shots in the wrong places.

That’s the difference at this level.

We cleaned it up.

Seeing it 3D down the fairway 👀🎯
Clear plan. Full commitment ✅

From doubt → decisive over every shot 💭➡️💥

Then we refined the scoring 🔥

Uphill pitch shots (where most miss left…) ⬆️
Lower body more open ↗️
Using the slope to control strike + start line 🎯

Better start lines → building confidence into the next hole 📈
