Thanks to the The Argus for covering this issue. Brighton & Hove City Council please listen. All the activity providers at the East end of Madeira Drive are saying the same - local people cannot afford this.

Businesses along the seafront have slammed “astronomical” parking increases which they fear could damage their future.

Please help us raise this issue.
Brighton Hove City Council Parking - please return to an affordable parking tariff at the eastern section of Madeira Drive.

Local residents, families, schools, players, cannot afford these parking rates. The east of Madeira Drive is not the City Centre. £5.70/hr is not affordable. There is ZERO public transport. Until there is, we need to allow access to seafront sport, toddler classes, swimming, kids’ playground, beach volleyball, children’s groups and community sessions.
