🌟 Referee Promotions 2025/26 - Celebrating Success Across our Cornwall FA Referees 🌟

A huge congratulations to all our referees who have achieved promotion for the 2025/26 season! 👏🏼 ⚽️

This year has also seen continued growth in refereeing across Cornwall, with more officials active across the game and new referees joining the pathway - strengthening both quality and depth across the county 📈

Your dedication, commitment, and countless hours of hard work on and off the pitch have paid off. Officiating is at the heart of our game and your progression is a testament to your professionalism, resilience, and passion for football in Cornwall 💛 🖤

🗣️ Referee Engagement Officer, Luke Wilkes, said:
"These promotions are a fantastic achievement for every referee involved and reflect the time, effort and commitment they’ve shown throughout the season. It’s especially pleasing to see continued growth across our referee workforce, with more officials developing and progressing through the pathway. Their success is vital to the game in Cornwall, and we’re excited to support them as they move into the next stage of their officiating journey."

Each appointment, each decision and every match you’ve taken charge of has contributed to this achievement. You continue to set high standards while inspiring the next generation of match officials.

We also want to recognise the exceptional work Luke Wilkes, Referee Officer, continues to do in supporting our referees throughout the season. His commitment to development, welfare and progression plays a vital role in helping officials reach this stage - thank you for everything you do👏🏼💛

We’re incredibly proud of your success and wish you the very best as you step up to the next level in 2026/27! 🚀

Thank you to The Ref Stop for the continued support for our referees in Cornwall! ⚽️

We’re delighted to share that Max Davies has been promoted from Level 4 to Level 3, a fantastic achievement that reflects his commitment, resilience and consistent performances throughout the season ✨

Max will now officiate on the Southern League and the National League North/South, a well-deserved step up in his refereeing journey.

After the disappointment of missing out on assessment day back in January, Max showed great character to push on through a challenging period. His determination and hard work have paid off, making this news even more rewarding.

Luke Wilkes, Referee Officer, said:
“This is a thoroughly deserved promotion for Max. To bounce back from the setback earlier in the year and maintain such high standards shows real strength of character. We’re incredibly proud of his progress and excited to see him develop further at the next level.”

A brilliant achievement, Max - we wish you every success for the season ahead! 👏🏼⚽️

From 1–7 June, the UK comes together to celebrate Volunteers’ Week, a national campaign recognising the millions of people who give their time, passion and skills to support their communities 🌟

Here in Cornwall, our football community is powered by thousands of incredible volunteers who make the game possible every single day.
They coach. They referee. They run clubs and leagues. They mark pitches, wash kits, open gates, welcome players, support young people and keep football positive, safe and thriving ⚽️

Today, and every day, we want to say a huge thank you 👏🏼 💛

Volunteers’ Week shines a light on the dedication and impact of volunteers across the UK, celebrating the difference they make and encouraging more people to get involved. In Cornwall, that impact is felt in every club, every match day, every young player’s journey and every community that comes together through football.

To every volunteer in the Cornwall football family:
Thank you for your time. Thank you for your passion. Thank you for everything you do for the game 🙌🏼 ✨

Happy Volunteers’ Week from Cornwall FA 🖤 🤍
