This video captures the final 90 minutes of an incredible day in USKA history as Sumayya Griffith completes the demanding USKA Black Belt 1st Dan Grading Examination.

After more than seven hours of continuous assessment, Sumayya entered the final stages of the grading physically exhausted but still required to demonstrate the technical skill, determination and mental resilience expected of a future USKA Black Belt. The final assessment included intense Shadow Boxing, Bagwork, Padwork and Technical Combination Line Work designed to push candidates beyond their comfort zones and reveal their true character.

A USKA Black Belt is not awarded lightly. Candidates must demonstrate mastery of over 185 syllabus techniques, perform them from both Orthodox and Southpaw stance, and apply them fluently in countless combinations and scenarios. They are also expected to demonstrate leadership, coaching ability and a deep understanding of the art they represent.

For Sumayya, this achievement represents the culmination of a journey spanning almost sixteen years.

By her own admission, nothing ever came easily. Every technique, every combination and every milestone had to be earned through dedication, repetition and perseverance. While others may have relied on natural talent, Sumayya built her success through discipline, consistency and an unwavering commitment to improvement.

In preparation for this grading, she attended classes six days per week, undertook additional one-to-one training sessions and regularly stayed behind after class to continue refining her techniques. Her work ethic and determination never wavered.

That commitment was rewarded with an excellent grading performance and a score of 81% (Grade B).

In thirty years of USKA history, Sumayya Griffith becomes only the 11th person ever awarded a USKA Black Belt and only the 8th Black Belt under the current syllabus.

This footage provides a rare behind-the-scenes look at the standards, challenges and sacrifices required to earn one of the highest honours within the USKA.

Congratulations Sumayya Griffith. After sixteen years of dedication, determination and perseverance, the belt has been earned.

On Saturday 12th July, two of our USKA Fight Team athletes will step through the ropes at the Aero-Kick Gym in Birmingham to challenge for BLCC English Championship honours.

First up, Rayaan "The Rocket" Ellahi faces a huge test as he takes on home fighter Dinero Patterson from Aero-Kick Gym for the -40kg BLCC English Title. Despite giving away age, weight, height and reach, Rayaan has never been one to back down from a challenge and will be looking to add another title to his growing collection.

Also in action is Isa "The Hurricane" Khan, who faces arguably his toughest challenge to date when he meets the unbeaten Alex Hobbs from Endurance Martial Arts Academy in Northampton. Both fighters have built impressive reputations and this promises to be a fantastic contest over five hard-fought rounds.

Both bouts will be contested over the full five round championship distance and are sure to provide plenty of excitement for fight fans.

We would love to see as many members, friends and supporters as possible there to cheer the boys on as they bid to bring two BLCC English Title belts back to the USKA Fight Factory.

We presented another two awards this evening at the USKA Fight Factory on our USKA Ninjas classes.

First 5 Year old Uthmaan Salim was awarded his USKA Ninja's Gold Medal following eight Star Student Stickers on his USKA Ninja's Classes.
Well done Uthmaan on an amazing effort!

Next We were excited to present a Gold Dojo Certificate to 7 year old USKA Ninja Mohammad Haadi Nazir for his effort in picking up 150 Dojo Points on his weekly USKA Ninjas classes.
Great work Noah, onwards and Upwards as we work towards Platinum!

Well done Ninja's on a great effort!

USKA BLACK BELT 1ST DAN GRADING | SAMI KELLY EARNS HIS BLACK BELT

This video captures the final 90 minutes of an unforgettable day in USKA history as Sami Kelly completes the final stages of the demanding USKA Black Belt 1st Dan Grading Examination at the USKA Fight Factory.

After more than seven hours of relentless testing, Sami entered the final phase of the grading physically exhausted but still required to perform at the highest possible standard. The assessment included intense Shadow Boxing, Padwork, Bagwork and Sparring Drills designed to test technique, fitness, determination and mental resilience under extreme fatigue.

A USKA Black Belt is never awarded lightly. Candidates are required to demonstrate mastery of over 185 syllabus techniques, perform them from both Orthodox and Southpaw stance, and apply them fluently in countless combinations and scenarios. They must also prove themselves as coaches, leaders and role models both inside and outside of the gym.

For Sami, this achievement represents the culmination of a journey that began nearly nineteen years ago as a four-year-old on the USKA Ninja's programme. Following a year of intensive preparation, daily training and countless hours spent refining every aspect of his martial arts, he entered the grading as the most thoroughly prepared candidate ever to attempt the examination.

The result was an outstanding performance and a remarkable score of 97% (Grade A).

In thirty years of USKA history, Sami Kelly becomes only the 12th person ever awarded a USKA Black Belt and only the 9th Black Belt under the current syllabus.

This footage provides a rare behind-the-scenes look at the standard, intensity and determination required to earn one of the most prestigious achievements in the USKA.

We had a Gold and a Platinum Ninja Dojo award presented this evening on our USKA Ninjas classes at the USKA Fight Factory.

First we were thrilled to present our latest Gold Dojo Certificate to 7 year old USKA Ninja Eesa Abdullah for his effort in picking up 150 Dojo Points on his weekly USKA Ninjas classes.
Amazing work Eesa, well done!

Next we presented 7 year old Muhammed Abdul-Ahad Aftab with his USKA Ninja's Platinum Dojo Certificate and trophy following him completing the Dojo program after earning himself 200 Points on his weekly USKA Ninjas classes, outstanding work Abdul-Ahad, well done on your achievement!

Well done to our duo of super Ninja's!
