We are delighted to announce Alice Griffiths as captain of the Women's team for the upcoming season. Alice is coming back from injury and it will be great to see her leading from the front and battling away on the pitch once more.

Some great women’s rugby on show at the club this Sunday - a county match followed by the The Red Roses on the big screen. All welcome!

🌹 We've got a Super Sunday of Women's Rugby lined up this weekend!
First up Biggleswade Rugby Club is hosting a Gill Burns County Championship match between East Mids and Bucks Women.
Then it's time for the 6 Nations decider when the Red Roses face France at Stade Atlantique, Bordeaux.
Get yourself along to Langford Road to watch some of the best county players face off before Le Crunch on the Biggy Big Screen.

💕 Girls get set! We’ve got an Olympian coming to the club for a fun, FREE rugby session with you!

🇬🇧 Grace Crompton - Team GB star of the Rugby 7s Paris 2024 Olympics and a PWR 15s player with Harlequins - is running an Introduction to Rugby course open to all girls currently in School Years 4,5, and 6.

The session takes place from 10-11am on Sunday 12 July and anyone the correct age can take part - that's Biggleswade Minis and any other girls the same age who want to give rugby a go - so tell all your friends!

Well done to Elsinea and Dorota who represented Biggleswade Women in a combined team at the last fixture of the season - the Inner Warrior Festival at yesterday.
Both put in strong performances, with Elsinea tackling everyone, having a little lie down, then getting up and tackling everyone all over again. Meanwhile D just smashed it and scored a try, after what was (allegedly) at least a 50 metre run 🤔
Support was also strong from the sidelines, with Lucy and Amy cheering their teammates on. There are even unconfirmed reports of coach Alex having broken into a smile...

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 One of our own making history in the Six Nations!
Former Biggleswade mini Seren Lockwood scored this amazing try for Wales at the end of her side’s 24-62 loss to England at the weekend. It gave Wales a losing bonus point - the first time ever any of the home nations has scored four tries against the Red Roses in the competition.
Seren started her rugby journey at Biggleswade in the U6s before her family moved back to Wales during her U9s season. Now 19, she plays for Gloucester-Hartpury in the PWR and played in three World Cup games for Wales last year.
That’s enough stats - all that’s left to say is ‘Fantastic job, Seren!’
