Our friendly team is focused on helping and supporting our members in achieving all their health and fitness goals. Our team of fully qualified instructors genuinely care and take interest in all our m

embers and are known to be the most inspiring, motivational instructors in the area! The fully air-conditioned centre is extremely spacious, light and airy (8000 square feet) with a comprehensive range of equipment suitable for all fitness levels and abilities. The gym has four Olympic Lifting platforms, a full range of Pulse equipment with Treadmills , Concept II rowers, Cross Trainers, Ski Erg, Stairmaster, Assault Bike and a huge selection of free weights, bars, benches and functional training equipment. Along with great gym facilities, there is a Spin studio housing 21 Matrix spin cycles and a large multi-use studio where we hold a range of group exercise sessions including Pilates, Clubbacize, Yoga, HiiT, Bootcamp and kickboxing. We don't do this event competitively....we do it for a laugh and to support North Devon Hospice.
So if you're worried about fitness or holding everyone up - don't!
Nobody gets left behind....we start and finish together 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

As many of you know, Tracy has been living with a terminal cancer diagnosis for the past 7 years. And what an incredible 7 years it's been!

During that time she completed her Level 2 Gym Instructor course and became a spin instructor as well as teaching all sorts of classes including Rope Burn, Boxercise, Body Sculpt and Fit For Life - earning herself the very apt nickname; The Silent Assassin for her silent but deadly approach to teaching.

Tracy has been a huge inspiration to so many people and the way she's handled the various treatments and the horrible side effects has been nothing short of heroic. She has been the very best example of living with cancer because boy has she done some living!
Always up for a holiday, an adventure, a giggle and a challenge - she even completed a Hyrox last year! 🦾

She's continued to work, to exercise most days and to support others through tough times whilst putting up the bravest fight of her own against a cancer that probably should have beaten her long ago had she not been so stubborn and determined to keep living by her own rules.

As her friend, I've been in awe of this incredible woman's strength and courage. This cancer journey has been a rollercoaster but I'm glad I have had the privilege to ride it with her because she's one helluva woman and I've learned so much from her along the way.
"Jen, life's too short" will forever be ingrained in my brain because she's said it sooooo many times to me over the years.🫶🏻

Sadly, the time has come that we must now allow Tracy to step away from her role at G4 to spend precious time with her family.

Last week, Tracy instructed her last session saying a teary farewell to her beloved Fit For Life group.
In true Tracy style, she made sure her last spin class was raising money for charity and spun her heart out for over an hour for North Devon Hospice. 🤩

There are no words to express how much she's going to be missed by all of us in our little G4 family....she's the person we all confide in, the person we giggle with over the silliest things, the person who encourages all of us to chase our dreams, the person who sees the best in everyone and who also brings out the best in everyone.

We will never replace Trace in our team - she's irreplaceable - but we'll keep on keeping on cos that's exactly what she's done for so long. 🧡

🙏🏻 Can I kindly ask that you don't message her privately as she now needs to focus on time with her loved ones. Any letters or cards can be left at the gym and I will make sure she receives them.

You may have seen these two around in the gym....you're about to see them some more!

Hayden & Zack are joining the G4 team and will work shifts around their sports studies at college.

They're both keen footballers and have impressed me with their commitment to their gym training over the past 12 months - showing up before school most days to train early.

They love a chat, know the gym inside out and are really friendly and approachable so if you see them around, don't be afraid to ask for help.

I will make sure I have their name badges sorted before they start doing shifts though because even though their dad assures me they're really easy to tell apart, I'm currently relying on neither of them getting a haircut or wearing a cap 🙈

Today marks exactly 10 years of G4.

What an incredible 10 years it's been!

I could sit here and tell you how much we've done over the last decade to expand the gym, all the thousands of ££s we've spent on stuff we've bought and how much we have grown but it's really not about that.

It's about you. The members. Past and present.
The thousands (literally!) of people who have supported me and my awesome team in our endeavours to make a living doing what we love.

Without you there would be no gym extensions, no studio refurbs, no shiny new equipment and - most importantly - no fantastic gym community.

Simply put, G4 is G4 because of you. 🧡

Every one of you has contributed to this fab little gym in Bideford that I'm so proud of. Together, I think we've built something pretty special. 🫶🏻

Here's to the next 10 years! 🥂

There's never a dull moment and I can't remember the last time he was awake AND quiet at the same time 🙈

Sadly what you all see (& hear!) at the gym is the way James is ALLLLL the time. 😩😩

If you want to give him birthday beats 👊🏻 he's working til 12 today.

The boss, the best mate, the mum, and the biggest d!ckhead.

Fortunately there is only 1 Jen. But without her, G4 certainly wouldn’t be what it is today… the energy, passion and love that she has is why G4 is the place it is. all the unnoticed work that you do every single day that goes under the radar to keep us all ticking, doesn’t go unappreciated!!

even at her ripe old age she still whoops all our asses into gear when someone hasn’t hoovered the landing or refilled the spray bottles. 🦉🦉

She’s going to hate that I’ve done this post and I’m sure she will find multiple spelling mistakes anyway. (James in charge of writing a paragraph 😬)
