⚽ GOALS GALORE! ⚽

What a fantastic all-round performance from every single Diamond! 💎

Since starting our 7-a-side journey, we’ve had some tough tests along the way, but today we saw just how much the training, hard work and effort the girls have been putting in is starting to pay off. 🙌

🧤 IN GOAL – FLOSS

Floss today… she’d give Hannah Hampton a run for her money! 😍 The saves she made, her commanding presence and her distribution were outstanding. Even the opposition coaches were complimenting just how good she was today. A brilliant performance! 👏🧤

🛡️ DEFENCE – BETTY, KIARA & ELIANNE

Our ever-present defensive trio were absolutely outstanding! 💪 The clearances, the through balls they stopped and the way they stood strong to prevent the attackers coming through — absolute rocks, all three of them! 🧱💎

⚽ MIDFIELD – ANNABELLE, CHESCA, MILLIE, LYLA & KAYTLIN

These girls never gave the opposition a moment’s peace! They played some lovely football throughout, battled for every ball and really showed the work they’ve been putting in at training.

Isla was a constant nuisance for the opposition defence, working hard and getting herself on the scoresheet with another well-taken goal! ⚽👏

💎 AFC Biddulph Diamonds vs AFC Biddulph Spitfires 💎

One of our toughest tests yet on this 7-a-side journey, but not once did the girls give in. They battled right until the final whistle, with some players being asked to play in unfamiliar positions and giving it absolutely everything. 💪💎

🧤 Floss made some outstanding saves in goal and was unlucky with a few rebounds. A fantastic performance and thoroughly deserved Coaches’ Player of the Match. 👏

🛡️ Betty made some great clearances at the back and battled for every ball. Thoroughly deserved Parents’ Player of the Match. 💪

💎 Elianne & Kiara put in a massive shift at the back, never giving in and fighting for every ball.

⚡ Lyla, Chesca & Annabelle never stopped running, causing problems down the wings and giving the opposition plenty to think about.

🔥 Kaytlin & Millie kept pushing and putting pressure on their defence as the game went on.

With a few of the girls only starting football this season, nights like this are all part of the journey. They never gave up, showed plenty of character and can only get better from here.
