I think something huge went off in the mountaineering world just recently . We lost someone that changed the world of mountaineering and I’m a huge believer that angels come and do their work and then they are required to go home .
It reminds us how precious life is . Something iv never ever taken for granted and for quite a few years iv found myself not quite aligned with what I’m about . Still probably trying to prove my success to others when deep down it doesn’t really matter to me .
Just a day before the awful events that took place on Broad Peak I faced my fears and took a huge leap of faith . Doing what I want to do with my life instead of chasing approval ! Phhhhttt. Sod that !
A day after , words that affirm .
Giving up is not in the blood
Anything is possible

Nims also brought us at BHMC together in lockdown when we all channelled in at the same time to watch 14 peaks , we where all on watts app , talking about it as we where watching it . Inspired to get out there .

Wednesday was the eclipse , a time for us to reset , to really dig in with intentions . To face any fears and just do it !!

Today and now is the only guarantee we have . Tomorow isn’t promised.

Many first-time visitors think the colorful flags hanging across Nepal's mountains are simply decorations.

They're not.

Every flag carries a message.

Australian traveler Emma noticed hundreds of prayer flags fluttering above a suspension bridge on her trek.

She asked her guide,

"Why are they everywhere?"

The guide smiled.

"They're not here for the mountains."

"They're here for everyone who walks through them."

He pointed to the five colours.

Blue represents the sky.

White represents the clouds and air.

Red represents fire.

Green represents water.

Yellow represents the earth.

Together, they symbolize harmony between nature and life.

Emma looked closer.

Each flag was covered with ancient prayers and sacred symbols.

"So... are people praying for themselves?" she asked.

The guide gently shook his head.

"Not only for themselves."

"When the wind blows..."

"It carries these prayers across the valleys, wishing peace, compassion, good health, and safe journeys for everyone."

Emma stood quietly as the flags danced in the Himalayan breeze.

For a moment...

The mountains felt different.

Not just beautiful.

But deeply spiritual.

Before leaving Nepal, she bought a small set of prayer flags.

Not as a souvenir...

But as a reminder.

Sometimes, the strongest message isn't spoken.

It's carried silently by the wind.

Follow you’re own compass 🥲

THE MISSION SHIFTS. THE COMPASS HOLDS.

This was never the plan. Initially, the plan was to climb just G2. But just before setting off for Pakistan, I ran the numbers on my 8000m summits. That’s when it hit me: if I tick off Broad Peak whilst I’m here , only one remains “Cho Oyu.” Then I become the FIRST person in history to climb all 14 eight-thousanders twice. Without oxygen.

This wasn’t planned. The Hattrick project was the focus because it carried a bigger mission. But opportunities don’t scream: they whisper to those already working in silence.

Here’s the secret I’ve carried through every expedition: I never competed with anyone else. My only battle was against the man I was yesterday. Every single day, pushing my own limits. Because the moment you look sideways: at what others are doing, saying, achieving: you drift off your compass. Your heading is YOURS. Guard it fiercely.

They criticized me when I climbed the 14 without O’s during Project Possible. If you haven’t seen what that took, watch 14 Peaks on Netflix. That film is the unfiltered truth. I was there doing multiple rescues of climbers left behind by other expeditions, raising the funds myself, leading from the front, fixing our own lines, dealing with the Shishapangma permit with China, being at hospitals for my mum’s operation and so much more. And now? Now I’m heading for the double without oxygen: triple in total. The noise hasn’t stopped. I just stopped listening.

To those who still doubt: I already climbed all 5 of Pakistan’s 8000ers in just 26 days. Leading. Guiding. Without oxygen. Breaking the records of those who broke mine with oxygen. The receipts are there.

Broad Peak, I ask for nothing but safe passage up and back down. I take zero mountains for granted. Not one. The moment my foot leaves basecamp, it’s 100%. Always has been. Always will be.

This one is dedicated to everyone who carried me here. Supporters. Critics. All of you. Without both sides, there is no fire. So thank you genuinely.

My purpose has never been about me. It’s about what I represent. It’s about showing YOU that your own mountains—whatever they are—are climbable.

One of my favourite places on this earth . 🌍 Nepal .
Although in a true country bumpkin there’s something about Nepal that makes it feel like home and I can’t really tell you what that is .
Only, if you believe in magic you will understand . 🙌
