October is Positive Ageing Month, and we’d love to mark it by celebrating some of the older members and supporters who have played such an important part in our club over the years.

We would love to encourage some of our young players to take part in a “Stories from the Club” initiative — spending around half an hour with one of our older members, hearing about their memories, experiences and knowledge of Craobh Rua.

From the early days of the club, to favourite matches, memorable characters and how things have changed over the years, there are so many stories that deserve to be heard and remembered. ❤️🤍

It would be a lovely opportunity for our young people to learn from those who helped shape our club, while giving our older members the chance to share their memories with the next generation.
If you’re an older member, former player, volunteer or supporter who would be happy to take part, we’d love to hear from you. Equally, if one of our young players would like to interview a family member or someone they know from the club, please get in touch with Ciara 07749527083.

Our history is our story — and we want to make sure the next generation gets to hear it.

On Saturday past our u13s made the trip to Na Magha Derry for the Chieftain Gaelic Games Tournament.
In the group stages we came up against Kilnadeemna Co Galway, Ardclough Co Kildare and the hosts Na Magha. We then progressed to the plate semi final with St Eunans Letterkenny and then to the final where we were pipped at the post by Buncrana. All had a brilliant day getting the opportunity to play against teams from all over Ireland.

A huge thanks to Ryan and all at Na Magha for organising such a fantastic event and for the hospitality it was 2nd to none 👏.

Next up our u12.5s head to Ballinascreen next Saturday 17th for the Barrie McBride Tournament and Sunday 18th Craobh Rua host the u14 Seán Byrne Tournament.
Thanks to all the lads for their commitment and hard work all year, hopefully we can finish the year off with even more success 🙌

📣 CRAOBH RUA CAMLOCHA – AGM 2026

A chairde,

Our Annual General Meeting will take place on:

📅 Wednesday 11 November 2026
⏰ 7pm
📍 Craobh Rua Camlocha

This is an important opportunity for our members to come together, reflect on the past year and help shape the future of Craobh Rua Camlocha.

We will hear reports from the Club Officers and Committee, consider the club’s progress and plans, and elect the Officers and Committee for the coming year.

Nominations and motions for consideration at the AGM should be submitted to the Secretary by 28th October at 6pm

We would encourage all members to make every effort to attend. The strength of our club comes from the people who give their time, support our players and coaches, and help us continue to develop Craobh Rua.

We look forward to seeing you all there.
