We are delighted to share that SIX University of Bath students have been selected for the World Rugby Junior World Champs! 💙💛

Aiden Ainsworth-Cave
Tate Williams
Sam Winters
Enoch Opoku-Gyamfi

Connor, Tyler and Aiden will all be competing at their second Junior World Championships, while Tate and Sam earn their places for the first time in a talented squad heading to Georgia.

We’re also proud to see Team Bath Breakthrough student-athlete Enoch Opoku-Gyamfi representing Italy at the tournament, which gets underway on 27 June. 🇮🇹

All six players were key members of the University of Bath men’s 1st XV side that secured an historic BUCS Super Rugby league and cup double in 2025-26.

We’re delighted to share that our good friend Adam Nunn will be officiating his first match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup as an Assistant Referee this Thursday, when Uzbekistan take on Colombia! 🙌

Adam has been working closely with our sports science team, undertaking specialist heat acclimatisation support in our labs as part of his World Cup preparation.

Silver for Poppy at the Pentathlon World Cup!!! 💙💛

Massive congratulations to University of Bath Biochemistry student Poppy Clark for winning an incredible silver at the UIPM World Cup in Budapest, Hungary.

Clark told UIPM TV: “Every time I came out of the shooting range I just had a smile on my face because I couldn’t believe I was in the top three – to be honest I would have been happy with top 10!

Toby, coached by Team Bath Tennis, is set to make his Queen’s Club debut at the HSBC Championships this week and will take on fellow Brit Arthur Fery in the Round of 32 tomorrow (Tuesday). 🇬🇧

Adding to the excitement, Toby has climbed to a new career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 144 after reaching the quarter-finals of the Lexus Ilkley Open this weekend!

The STV is open as usual on Friday and Saturday, but if you're visiting between 9.30am and 4pm, expect it to be busy. Car parks are fully booked, so walking, cycling or public transport is recommended.

We’re proud to announce that our Athlete of the Month for April is Chris Ryan! 💙💛

Chris delivered his most successful British Championships in the London Aquatics Centre in April, competing in the 50, 100 and 200 breaststroke, reaching the final in all 3 events and earning a 5th place, bronze medal and consideration time for the Commonwealth Games!

Over the past three years, Chris has shown exceptional development and commitment in the pool, and this latest performance is a reflection of the hard work he continues to put in day in, day out.
