A huge congratulations to Poppy Clark, our Team Bath Athlete of the Month! 👏

Poppy has enjoyed an outstanding season, earning selection for her first Senior Modern Pentathlon World Cup after consistently delivering impressive performances at national ranking events. In her first year competing at senior level, she has shown remarkable composure, professionalism and determination.

Alongside her sporting success, Poppy has balanced the demands of training and competition with her final year studies, demonstrating exceptional organisation, independence and commitment to continuous improvement. Her willingness to embrace feedback from coaches and support staff has played a key role in her rapid progression.

Poppy’s achievements, work ethic and positive attitude make her a truly deserving recipient of this award, and we are excited to see what the future holds for her.

An incredible hat-trick of golds for Ranjuo! 🥇🥇🥇

University of Bath sporting scholar Ranjuo Tomblin has won 13 medals this year, eight of them gold in Artistic Swimming this World Cup Season!

The first came in the mixed duet technical as Tomblin and Izzy Thorpe topped the rankings for a third time this year, this time with a score of 225.9034.

Tomblin then added to his gold collection by winning the men’s solo free with 244.4588 before partnering Thorpe to the mixed duet free title, scoring 259.5159 points.

TWO more golds for Dimitri! 🏆🏆

A huge congratulations to University of Bath-based para fencer Dimitri Coutya, who has now taken his 2026 Para Fencing World Cup gold-medal tally to six after winning two more titles at the third event of the season in Bradenton, Florida.

The double Paralympic champion produced a dominant performance to secure a third consecutive Category B foil title, conceding just 19 hits across three knockout rounds before defeating Thailand’s Chitipat Charoenta 15-4 in the final. A day earlier, the two had also faced off in the Category B epee gold-medal match, with Coutya claiming a hard-fought 15-12 victory to complete another golden double. 🥇🥇

Congratulations to Matt Weston on being inducted into the Team Bath Hall of Fame! 💙💛

Matt capped an extraordinary Olympiad in stunning fashion at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, dominating the men’s final to win gold by nearly a second before teaming up with Tabby Stoecker to claim victory in the first-ever Olympic skeleton mixed team event. 🛷

The triumph completed a full set of men’s titles for Matt, who is also the reigning World, European and Overall World Cup Champion. Across four remarkable seasons, he has won an incredible 42 medals — including 22 golds.

A phenomenal athlete, an incredible ambassador for the sport, and a truly deserving Hall of Fame inductee. Congratulations, Matt!

Congratulations to Tabby Stoecker on being inducted into the Team Bath Hall of Fame! 💙💛

Olympic gold medallist Tabby Stoecker has made history once again, becoming the youngest-ever member of our Hall of Fame at just 25 years old.

Formally inducted by Professor Cassie Wilson, the University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience), the honour recognises Tabby’s incredible achievements and impact on British skeleton.

An outstanding achievement and a fitting recognition for one of the sport’s brightest stars. Congratulations, Tabby!

Congratulations to Marcus Wyatt on being inducted into the Team Bath Hall of Fame! 💙💛

A double Olympian and one of Great Britain’s standout skeleton athletes, Marcus has represented Team GB more than 100 times since taking up the sport in 2014 — winning an incredible 34 medals along the way, including European Championships gold in 2024 and World Championships silver in 2025.

During the 2025–26 season, he was the only man to beat team-mate Weston on the World Cup circuit, claiming two gold medals in a phenomenal campaign.

A hugely deserved honour celebrating years of dedication, resilience and world-class success. Congratulations, Marcus! 🙌

Ahead of the big game, a huge congratulations to Poppy Tydeman, who was voted Team Bath Fans’ Player of the Season!

The Wales international, who is hoping to represent her country at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games this summer, received the most online votes after impressing with her tenacity, teamwork and consistency this season.

From Bath to the Games 💙💛

Last night we had the immense pleasure of celebrating the incredible British Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association (BBSA) athletes, coaches and staff, after their outstanding successes at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games and the four-year cycle leading up to it.

The event, hosted by Bath and North East Somerset Council at The Guildhall, also celebrated the successful partnership between the BBSA and the University of Bath, a UK Sport-accredited Elite Training Centre where, for the past 25 years, bobsleigh and skeleton athletes have perfected their all-important start on the UK’s only outdoor push-start track.

A fantastic evening honoring dedication, performance, and a legacy of excellence.

We are proud to support your journey, and can't wait to see what the future holds 🙌
