This weekend we welcomed our FIS and U16 athletes back to the academy. After a well-earned summer break, it was great to get everyone back together for some team building at Le Lac before the new academic year gets underway.

Our PG athletes have just completed a week in Tignes pushing limits, learning new skills and spending time together in the mountains.

From glacier hikes and strength & conditioning to white water and via ferrata, every session challenged them in different ways. They worked hard, supported each other and embraced every opportunity to learn.

A brilliant week in Tignes with a group that embraced every challenge and made the most of every opportunity.

The work doesn’t stop when the skis come off.

A morning on snow is only part of the day.

Afternoons are spent learning the details that make a difference: tuning skis, understanding equipment, developing coordination through multi-skills, and taking responsibility for every part of performance.

It’s about building the habits, knowledge and independence that create complete athletes.

Behind every athlete is a curious mind.

At the end of term our IB Diploma students presented their Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Exhibitions. A core component of the IB Diploma Programme that encourages students to explore the nature of knowledge and how we know what we claim to know.

Through carefully selected real-world objects, students examined complex knowledge questions, explained their thinking, and engaged in thoughtful discussions with staff and peers.

Ski Cross is always a highlight at our Perform Better Camps.

With rollers, berms and changing terrain, athletes develop balance, agility, confidence and quick decision-making - all while having plenty of fun.

Waterfalls, alpine lakes, forest trails and plenty of time spent outdoors with teammates.

One of the best parts of our Perform Better Camps is taking advantage of the incredible environment around us and enjoying everything the mountains have to offer.
