HERE'S WHY YOU NEED TO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING WITH YOUR DIET ✨

This is the rule of thumb when it comes to fat loss: however much you think you have to lose, double it. And that's how much you actually have to lose.

Your heart might have dropped reading that, I know.

Especially when you consider that the first 2-3kg doesn't make much of a visible difference (even if it does of course make you FEEL much better).

That's also why you regain the same 2-3kg after you feel disheartened and abandon your diet for the fifth time this year.

Because until you can see the visual impact, it's a lot harder to keep going, isn't it?

Now, a coach will absolutely see changes in your physique week-by-week that are basically invisible to you (because you look at yourself every day in the mirror).

But once you start to see the results yourself? It becomes a lot easier to keep pushing on and finish the job, to find the grit and determination needed.

That's why so many people, like you, "fail" at dieting or pull out before they get to a life-changing result. And rebound back to the body they lived in before.

The structure and discipline needs to be there from the very beginning, to get to the visual changes in as quickly as possible and make sure you feel like you're progressing, like you're doing yourself proud.

If you always drop off before you've lost the first 3kg, you probably need someone else to put the structure into place for you, to remind you that you're making yourself proud.

CLIENT WIN STRAIGHT FROM THE GROUP CHAT ✨

The annoying thing about fat loss is that it isn't immediately visible.

You've probably been there. 1kg, 2kg, 3kg down... you feel proud of yourself for sticking with it, accomplished for making it further than you ever have before.

But no one seems to be noticing...

It's hard to notice YOURSELF, even, when you look in the mirror.

And then your mind starts playing tricks on you and you wonder if it's working, if you're doing enough, if you should just f*ck it and have a slice of cake.

I promise, it is working. You just have more to lose than you initially thought. When it comes to fat loss, whatever number you have in your head, double it. And that's probably what you should be aiming for.

The unfortunate reality is that the first few kilos of fat loss rarely show.

It isn't until you get to 4kg, 5kg, 6kg down that people are suddenly going to start telling you how good you look.

But who is helping you make the jump from 3kg to 6kg lost? From good, consistent fat loss to life changing, stop you in the street and tell you you look amazing fat loss?

CLIENT WINS OF THE WEEK ✨

This week we're a little more focused fat loss because that's what multiple of the girls are working on.

I reckon that globally, there's a lot of women working on fat loss right now, since summer is very much around the corner.

And it's especially true that when it comes to fat loss, good habits compound over time. You don't necessarily get instant pay off.

It often feels like nothing in the moment.

Prepping your lunch for Monday through Thursday on a Sunday night? It just feels annoying in the moment, more than anything.

Whose going to keep you accountable while it feels annoying and make sure you get to the part where it feels fulfilling because the scale is finally moving?

Like me, you grew up with this sh*t, chasing skinny.

When you were 13, you spent all day sucking your stomach in at school. It physically hurt by the time you got home and you could finally breathe.

When you were 14, you ate two bowls of special K every day instead of proper meals because that’s what the beautiful women on TV told you to do.

When you were 15, you started smoking because someone told you it would kill your appetite. Who cared about the real dangers of smoking if you looked slim while doing it, hey?

None of it worked, it just left you feeling empty and lost (and in my case, addicted to ci******es for the next 10 years).

And now you’re in your 30s and you’ve done the hard, and glamorous work of healing your relationship with food.

Maybe you’ve even reached a place where you feel at home in your body, not every day but most days. And getting here was more exhausting than surviving on surreal aged 14.

But skinny is trending again and I know that the old feelings can hit you like a ton of bricks even when you know better.

Here’s what I also know. You have power now that you didn’t have when you were 14. You get to decide what takes up space in your life and more importantly, what doesn’t.

Stepping into the strongest version of yourself isn’t trending because it’s important all the time.

It’s about protecting your freedom, your mobility, your independence… For yourself, for the people you love, for the life, you’ve built, the one that you might even have dreamt about when you were younger.

I work with women like you who are ready to build real, lasting strength, both physically and mentally. I don’t dabble in trends or fads, I only dabble in getting you into the gym and harnessing that feeling I spoke about earlier.

Of feeling at home in your body.

I genuinely believe we can overcome this trend if we all get strong as sh*t and work together.

HOW WE TRANSFORMED AURORE'S PHYSIQUE ✨

For a lot of us millennials, what started as a bit of restriction at college slowly became our whole relationship with food well into adulthood.

You're probably wondering why I'm opening a client transformation story by slagging off dieting. Especially when Aurore clearly dieted to get to where she is today.

So I'll tell you. Aurore dieted for 12 of the 54 weeks we've worked together. Yep.

A lot of my clients start out dieting. As a coach, it provides me with priceless data around how their bodies respond. With Aurore, it allowed me to understand what drains her, what lights her up...

And what food freedom looks like for her, specifically.

Because believe it or not, dieting helped Aurore to build a routine around food so solid, that it undid some of the restrictive behaviour she was holding onto.

And the goal was never to diet forever. It was to feel strong and confident in her body and capacity, to walk into the gym and know what she's doing, feel like she belongs there, even.

We now know Aurore's body so well that she isn't tracking her food anymore. She's fuelling for performance, yes but she's also just... enjoying food.

And look at the muscle she's built, without an extreme calorie surplus and without living in the gym five days a week (two, to be precise).

That's what happens when the process finally fits your life instead of consuming it.

Aurore's transformation came down to two things: her honesty with her coach and her crystal-clear vision of how she actually wants to live her life. Not how she thought she should live but how she wants to live.

My job as a coach isn't to keep you small. It's to get you to the strongest, most fully alive version of yourself, on your terms.

Whether that's walking into the gym and feeling like you actually belong there, learning how to fuel your body without restriction or signing up for a Hyrox...

Because yes, Aurore is competing in Hyrox at the end of the year 😅
