Chamonix Experience is a mountain guide and adventure bureau based in the Chamonix Valley.

Founded by renowned mountain guide and foremost Everest expedition leader, Russell Brice, Chamonix Experience is a mountain guide and adventure bureau based in the Chamonix Valley, at the foot of the Mont Blanc massif. In December 2011, Sébastien Rougegré, a French Mountain Guide and former Mountain Rescuer in Chamonix has taken over the business and became the new Director of Chamonix Experience.

With first-hand and up-to-the-minute knowledge we can help you to get the most out of your Chamonix Experience. We have over 25 guides working with us who are all IFMGA qualified, with years of experience guiding in the alpine region. We offer a full range of activities and adventures from week-long courses and tailor-made programmes to Private Guiding for groups and individuals. In winter we can take you Off-Piste Skiing, Heli-skiing and Ski Touring. We organise groups for classic itineraries such as the Vallee Blanche, Haute Route and Ski Mont Blanc. We also offer detailed courses in Winter Mountaineering, Off-Piste Skiing, Crevasse Rescue and Avalanche Awareness. In summer we offer programmes dedicated to classic alpine peaks like Mont Blanc and Matterhorn. In addition, we are running an Alpine Adventure and Via Ferrata programme, Haute Route and courses in Alpine Climbing and Rock Climbing.

The group hit les Bossons with Myriem Karim for day 4 of the « discover rock climbing » camp.

Spent the session sorting out pad setups, decoding lines, and getting to grips with proper heel hooks and technical slabs. Wrapped up by learning how to top out with a bit of style and downclimb without looking entirely ridiculous 🤌

While the Alps are looking pretty dry right now, Cerro Castor treated us to a fresh dust of new snow!

The wind was definitely up, making our way down the arêtes a nice little focus session. We took our time working on solid crampon techniques on the descent—just a smooth, steady day out with Octavio Cesar Defazio

You know what end of April means? 😈

End of April means we just have two months to go before the starts again!!

We’ve been co-organizing this event for many years now and it’s always one of our summer highlights !

We’re proud to organize the clinic side of the event and work with more than 130 guides.

So don’t hesitate to go and check out the different clinics we offer all through the week. They range from trad climbing, to mountaineering, to multi pitch, bouldering, trail running and many many more ✨
